It was the last lap- the defence was ok, but at least it was the defender that suffered. They've both done the same moves on each other throughout the last 2.5yrs. Canada, Austin come immediately to mind.

What's happened regarding the 100l/hr instant fuel use?
Is it still a rule? Is it still enforced? If yes, are all the teams magically making plenty more power and never exceeding it?

Fair point of view, but also the sport is there with the drivers and teams/brands as aspirational icons for the 'common people' to admire and aspire. If drivers didn't make any mistakes there would be a smaller workforce and less jobs for the grunts. I think in terms of high pressure tasks performed...

Re: 2016 Monaco GP race thread
As a Ric fan, im tiddled off. Lewis drove well(mostly) but a 6second shorter pit stop would've been rather welcome. Whilst not deliberate, it's two races in a row that the pit wall has caused a 'poor' result.
Edit- all teams/drivers should be penalised when they fake a pit stop.

Re: Monaco, tyre strategy and Ricciardo
Ultra softs should have better grip, so dan is a chance to lose the lead into turn one, as he is on the slower tyre.

Re: Monaco, tyre strategy and Ricciardo
If it's dry, dan can just drive as slow as possible(keeping cars behind) but to ensure the cars on ultra soft tyres will fall behind the slower cars once they pit(ie don't build up a gap) then he can go hard and build the gap up, pit and retain the lead. Or, am I missing something?

I don't know enough about most domestic racing series to be aware of the "unknown"(not in the premier international series) but I think from Australia/nz Shane van gisbergen. He's not always the fastest in v8s, but he is fast in every series he races in. Domestic and internationally. Often with *ina...

Re: Clarification of tyre pressure rules please.
If 110/120 is accurate and part of the pressure rule, how can this instance of merc being questioned even happen? Surely it was tested, told its fine and that's that. Or, it was tested, found to be too low and the team made to change the pressure accordingly. Nothing else seems reasonable.

Clarification of tyre pressure rules please.
After Spa, was there a rule describing the tyre temperature min/max when pressures are tested? I'm assuming no. It seems like there should be a max temp to avoid any 'accidental' over temp situation at measuring.

F1 mercenary, stop being an obnoxious moo-pickle. You've made your opinion known, others have made there's equally known. The stewards have given their findings. The end.
Ric passed messily- never left the track limits. Ros cut across messily- they collided. The end.
