Re: Christian Horner Allegations Thread

The ones who were already convinced he was guilty (of... something?) will be so still, and accuse them of covering it up. An accusation that is just laughable. If he was guilty, Red Bull would have sacked him. They aren't going to risk getting sued for covering up such an indiscretion by someone so...

Re: Christian Horner Allegations Thread

They need to be a lot more transparent with the outcome than what has been said so far (and apparently is all they will say) IMO. All a statement like that does is lead to more questions and suggestions Horner was guilty but it has been swept under the carpet. If he is innocent then surely he deserv...

Re: Silly Season 2025

If Red Bull decide they want Albon and Albon wants to go back then I don't think a one year contract with Williams would prove an unsurmountable hurdle to overcome. Albon had said something which many people took notice of. He had said Verstappen loves his car quite sensitive. This for most drivers...

I'm say 16-20. I'm being optimistic and hoping that the field, lead by Ferrari, are collectively close enough to win more often. Max will still win the driver's title at a canter, though.

Re: So... who replaces Lewis at Mercedes?

Isn't Antonelli considered a prodigy just like Verstappen? Yes or not, putting him straight in a top team could be risky. He needs to get some handy experience in a F1 car. So either he gets to test a lot off the field or joins Williams next year & then goes to Mercedes. Imo, Alonso is the actual d...

Re: So... who replaces Lewis at Mercedes?

My feeling is that if Mercedes don't put Antonelli in the car for 2025, whoever comes in will get a two year deal. Why? Well if they haven't put him in the car for next season then they obviously feel he's at least another year away from being ready, if not more. In that scenario he's not going to h...

The allegation is horrendous if proven right: 1758500680724054406 If true - IF - then it seems to be a slam dunk against Horner. Only thing that can save him is a big settlement and RBR desperately wanting to keep him but in my eyes that would be regressive and wrong. Clearly none of us really know...

Well if part of the complaint includes "controlling . . . text messages" as per that espn link then that should be pretty straightforward to prove/disprove. Just on actual silly season for a moment, the Motorsport/Autosport group are reporting Red Bull have made a 'first option' offer to Alex Albon that would see them having first refusal on him for when his Williams contract runs out at the end of 2025. So I'd echo the majority and say Gasly and Alonso. Alonso doesn't need any real explanation (although I would love to know who the one vote came from, and their reasoning behind that) whereas Gasly/Ocon is a lot more of a decision. It just feels like, rightly or wrongly, Gasly had the advantage once...

Nobody is mentioning Ocon. If Sainz decides to go and get in on the ground level at Audi and Alonso is a bit too spicy for them Ocon seems to be the most logical choice. He's available, a Mercedes driver and would be a reasonable stop gap for a couple of seasons until Antonelli came in. The thing w...

Re: So... who replaces Lewis at Mercedes?

With Schumacher there were clear signs of his decline and the same may be true of Hamilton already. I think it's a bit of a st...

I don't think Tsunoda's being considered (seriously, anyway) for a couple of reasons. The first is the mental/emotional side of things. The only top level drivers they could have a shot at are Alonso and Norris.
