Source? Sorry about the missing source (and thanks to shoot999 for providing it), I was going to write a longer OP overall (including the source obviously) but had a poop-related incident with my 2 month old son who was in my lap at the time. It's a strange change in your outlook on life wh...

Schumi's last podium. It wasn't his best, it wasn't my favourite race or my favourite drive of his or anything like that. But you somehow knew this was the last one, this was the final glow of a such a bright career. I couldn't believe it was actually happening or the way it was happening. Then for...

Does it look like the left rear(?) only made contact with the surface as he crossed the kerb in this photo from last page? Not sure if that implies anything in particular.
Hope he's OK and will make a quick recovery.

Rosenqvist stays in F3, that guy sure can't have a cent in funding, he should really go on to GP3 or something. Switches to Prema Powerteam, make or break for him now after a mediocre -14.

I'll continue sometime when I'm bored at work. The only way, seems to me, is to go backward one year at a time! The trickiest part is people like De La Rosa etc who race a few times some years and are gone for several and turn up for a full season, so I try to keep track of those instances and carry...

I was browsing wikipedias lists of F1 driver records and went into the driver list to check some people who don't quite make it into the top 10 for ie wins, poles etc and I had a look at number of races started. I was a bit surprised that for example RIC has more starts than GRO, I guess forgetting ...

I actually miss when Melbourne qualy was at 5AM or something in GMT+1. It's funny how a lot of these races turn into the ending of aGP2 feature race during the last 5 laps, people colliding, locking brakes and generally trying stupid and optimistic moves all over the place. Di Grassi pulled off some clean ones before he retired, and I think Bird on Da Costa. Those susp...

It's not a minimum speed, but a minimum time. They must take at least a certain amount of time to get through a sector, and thus cannot go at whatever speed they want unless they choose to stop completely at some point. And since 41.3 No car may be driven unnecessarily slowly, they won't. It does no...

You all forgot Luca Badoer. Though I only remember him for his stand in for Massa in 2009, he raced in 95-96 and 99 as well.
Also Pedro De La Rosa, who even managed a podium as late as 2006, and did a full season in 2012! Or maybe you just don't think he's obscure enough to include in the vote :p

Sad to read how Sepang is overshadowed by Singapore, and how Korean or Indian GPs would be better for F1, because Sepang is a pretty nice track in my opinion. They've tested it at different FP sessions late this season, I've read some comments from a few drivers. What they tested, iirc, was a delta time through a particular VSC sector, not around the entire lap as they've decided on now. How it worked was the driver would get a tone in his ear similar to ...

So Grosjean would beat him, despite that Grosjean lost twice to his, at least according to the seeming consensus here, on-par-with-Massa team mate where Bottas beat Massa, and despite Bottas taking 6 podiums in a non race-winning car to Grosjeans 6 podiums in a race-winning car (0-2-4 vs 0-1-5 at th...

Why do so many people claim that Williams had the 2nd best car? They had at some races, and certainly towards the end, but I don't believe it was better than the Red Bull over the entire season. The entire engine cover on Bottas' car detached at the end of the second back straight, on his left side iirc. There might've been a piece of Massa's that flew off as well, it looked a bit odd at the front end of the side pod.

Euro F3 Imola race 2 was really entertaining.
Verstappen started 11th due to an engine penalty from last round, raced to 2nd place, last overtake right before the finish line.
And what a final GP2 Sprint race lap, messy but nothing major at least.
