Re: Rate the Most Naturally Talented Drivers Ever.
Even noting that you said "arguably", I can't see how you could arrive at the conclusion that Schumacher showed greater natural talent than Räikkönen. While it is true that he didn't test as much at Benetton, he did follow the traditional progression through the lower single seater classes, somethi...

Re: Rate the Most Naturally Talented Drivers Ever.
Being more intelligent is a natural talent, you don't have to do anything to be intelligent. Acquiring data is studying, which isn't a natural talent, it is work. Pounding the test track until sunset isn't a natural talent, it is work. Which not every driver was/is in a position to perform, simply ...

Re: Rate the Most Naturally Talented Drivers Ever.
Many people leaving Raikkonen out of their list is a bit odd since almost every F1 analyst and pundit believes he's the driver with the most natural talent on the grid. There are quotes from Ferrari saying he didn't need to be told how to go faster (using data etc), he was just told where he was sl...

Any team could do a lot worse than hire Sutil. So I voted yes.
But I think he will first need to take care of his court appeal.

If I were Vettel, and I saw a replay of what happened, I would call Karthikeyan and offer my apologies. It's not the first time he was wrong about something, and it won't be the last. We're all human, and so is Karthikeyan. So I'm sure he would accept the apology.

while i agree with everyone who has been suggested as being considered, in a thread purely asking for the most "naturally talented drivers ever" there is one glaring omission, someone who was so naturally talented that to have not been suggested by anyone yet leads me to question whether anyone her...

Re: Narain Clownikeyan is a road Hazard
I just can't help thinking about Hamilton's "monkeys at the back" comment when reading some of the posts here. The main reason why backmarkers now have to move over for leaders, is that sometimes time was lost by the leader in overcoming traffic in regard to those chasing. In other words, in the old...

I never watched that movie from the beginning. Oh great. The first page now boasts a proper noun whose plural case employs an apostrophe where an apostophe shouldn't go, and a proper noun whose possessive case omits an apostrophe where an apostrophe is required - the latter offense repeated, I assume for emphasis. Aren't we doing well! When my ...

All drivers who were capable of being champions became champion in the end. Now that is a statement I would never dare to make. I am convinced you forget two factors: the car, and sheer luck. Button is a very good example of how lucky you sometimes need to be. Look at the history. Its riddled with ...

Re: Is Alonso currently the best driver in F1?
The first part of my post was rather a defense of Massa than of Alonso's skills. It seems that now there is a tendency to dismiss Massa as if he had always been good for nothing, when in fact he has had some good races too, and has fought with some of the generally considered top drivers of this sp...

Rubens could and did win. And yes, once Schumi was established as the best Ferrari chance in a given year, Rubens became more support. Had Rubens jumped out to a dominant position in the chase, I have no doubt that Schumi would have had to support him... it just did not happen for there was only on...

In response to the last few posts, when the driver needs to get on the gas, he needs it all. When accelerating, if you are not getting all the power to the ground, you will be passed. You do not get extra power or acceleration by cutting out cylinders. but by that rationale there would never have b...
