Hamilton in China. Vettel was like 3-4 seconds faster than Hamilton on the last lap. Well yeah but Vettel never really got to Hamilton, right? I remember Vettel getting one shot and one shot only, and not being able to pull it together because of having to brake on the rubber marble carpet on a str...

Re: Ferrari testing 2014 engine in a LaFerrari?
But I don't think using a LaFerrari chassis/bodywork is going to help them much to test the engine in real F1 circumstances. I mean the road car must have far far worse aerodynamics, drag and far more weight, that means the engine they are testing is running on much different settings and it doesnt...

Re: Best defensive drive of 2013?
Hulk caused some massive blocking in Korea, however his car was freaking fast in a straigthline so I dont think it was THAT impressive. I mean all he had to do is to keep going without major mistakes and not run wide on corners.

Re: Why doesn't Hulk have backing?
I agree that perhaps Hulk isnt as good as some think, but I cant think of any logical explanation which someone could use to put Sutil above him. Both Hulk and Sutil beat Di Resta by some margin in 2011 and 2012, although this year Sutil had a kinda poor year compared to previous ones due to mistak...

Re: Why doesn't Hulk have backing?
Germany has Vettel already, they aren't that keen on helping another driver by sponsorship and I don't think it would be good for the global F1 audience to see another german up there. Rosberg & Sutil have backing, why anyone would put money behind Sutil over Hulkenberg is beyond me. Dunno, is it p...

When he said he would never drive for Ferrari, it was because of Jean Todt. Alonso rejected a Ferrari offer at the start of his career and he chose Renault/Briatore instead, that made Todt get very angry IIRC... Todt said something of the likes of "now or never... if you reject my offer you will ne...

Re: Ferrari testing 2014 engine in a LaFerrari?
Holy crap, there's definitely a turbo there, and the LaFerrari doesn't have any right? The LaFerrari has a naturally aspirated V12. If you pause it as the car goes past the camera slowly you can actually see that the air intakes have been adapted to something resembling an F1 layout; They've added ...

Most of the races where Red Bull didn't dominate were good. Were they? Australia - Decent race, but not that good, a big train of cars behind Sutil & some differing tyre strategies. China - Brilliant end to the race, but the rest was pretty boring, just people letting others past without a fight be...

If they have Grosjean and they are happy with him, I dont see any reason why they won't like Maldonado - I see them as similar drivers: good (not incredibly good) and a bit crazy/crash prone. People are giving him a hard time because Hulk deserves a top seat and Maldonado less so. It's funny because...

You'd be surprised at how little the order would change.
