Re: 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix Race Thread
This looks beautiful for Vettel.
The gap to Latifi is increasing so he is getting a buffer there and the Aston is a quicker race car than the Alpine.

You've got to laugh. Bottas his usual wet weather self. This isn't going to improve relations between Mercedes and Red Bull. Given past precedents (Grosjean Spa 2012) that could be a ban for Bottas. Grosjean had a full season of 1st lap lunacy in 2012. I lost count how many accidents he caused befo...

kravitz doing the gridwalk is almost unbearable. He constantly wastes time by asking himself really stupid questions in a strange sort of mutter, then answering a few seconds later. Just what is the point? Brundle is far better at this. Brundle has 25 years of experience though so it's his bread-an...

If Leclerc qualifies well he could end up being a road block I feel. That Ferrari may suffer from tyre deg issues and not be as fast as their 1 lap pace suggests.

Out of interest if your top 3 are Leclarc, Max, Lewis. Whose the 4th ahead of Norris. I don't really see anyone else you can currently put there. Not yet.
He is starting to get some momentum behind him but Lando does look quicker for now.
Maybe Danny has just peaked already and hit his psychological wall that he can't overcome?

If Verstappen has the faster car and collisions are 50/50 (unless pre-planned) then Hamilton does not have the luxury of hoping for a DNF every time he shunts into Verstappen. If Hamilton gets a DNF while being the #2 fastest car then his WDC chance is getting slimmer by the race. Who is pre-planni...

Verstappen has spent the season relying on Hamilton getting out of his way. No way that's on Lewis. Verstappen was over the top twice with his defending before that even happened. It's a racing incident. Verstappen can't turn in just expecting Lewis to vanish. You're in the minority here it seems. ...

Yes I agree, Norris is probably faster than Bottas at the moment. Hamiltons race pace was superior to Rosberg in 2014 though and 2016. Nico did have one of his best ever races against Hamilton there in 2015 though. Overtaking him on lap 1 and then building a 3-4 second lead to which Hamilton had no...

I like it, even the Indy style front wing.
The "skirts" on the side look like they may generate some serious downforce too.
Overall 8/10 from me.
Let's hope these things allow close F1 racing.

Vettel's had 2 years like that, 2014 and last year and I'm not sure that presently going life and death with Stroll is exactly steering him out of that dip. I would say that elite drivers simply don't have that complete loss of performance, Vettel and Ricciardo are not elite, Ricciardo has another ...

Ricciardo is having a career and confidence ending year unfortunately..The only one in recent memory is Vettel's 2014 season but that was after a run of 4 consecutive WDCs...
