Re: Bahrain Winter Testing 2014
Gotta be encouraged that Merc seem to have simulated a race stint, with a quick lap to get/defend the undercut then a steady run to 18 laps. Maybe they're starting to chase performance. Or I suppose I should say performance/fuel.

Re: Jv vs martin brundle. who do you back.
Going round in circles with constraints called rules is 'artificial', I don't think that's a useful way of looking at it. For me it's seeing skill that is the name of the game. I'm hoping this year will be Epic, and the only reason it won't be is if FOM give us no information on fuel usage (which is...

Re: Red Bull are exploring a possible change of F1 engine
That sort of sounds like Renault have gone a bit radical with their engine, are the possible advantages that Newey talks about in the engine itself? Sounds like the Renault can do something extra if it has a cool enough charge. Hmmm. I don't suppose they've found a way to vary the compression ratio...

Re: Red Bull are exploring a possible change of F1 engine
Newey saying Renault's cooling demand are high, for you that's the fire indicating RBR is shopping around? OK then... Newey will seriously hate that though. He's someone who prioritises aero above everything. I remember a March his drivers could barely get in but Gugelmin (I think) cruised past Sen...

Re: Raikkonen must work with Alonso "in an integrated way"
I reckon it's just an echo of 2008 when Monte himself had to meet Kimi and bribe him to support Massa with an extension to his contract - which turned out to be pretty expensive in the end! How is that you know that Luca bribed Kimi to support Massa? Or is this another of your opinions, not necessa...

Re: Will Vettel struggle with new regs?
For me it looks like a question of how well Seb handles an unstable car. We haven't seen that have we? My guess is just based on how fast he is in the first two laps of the race, and that does look like talent to me, but let's see. If it's true that Red Bull are looking to dump Renault that's great ...

Re: Ferrari sponsorship by tobacco company?
Nobody is arguing that PMI are not sponsoring Ferrari. But there is nothing on the car or clothing. That is why it is legal. Tobacco companies are not outlawed but advertising tobacco products is. I don't think we can dismiss the current logo as 'nothing'. It's far from random, but on the contrary ...

Re: Ferrari sponsorship by tobacco company?
Why on earth would PMI buy 'credibility'? The rest of your post explains why the EU Commission's excuse for inaction is so wafer thin. PMI have no reason to promote PMI, only their products. Companies do this type of thing all the time. As I said it is the same as buying corporate boxes at sporting...

Re: Ferrari sponsorship by tobacco company?
They can't put the PMI logo on the car because it appears on at least one brand of their tobacco products. Even though most people would not recognize it or identify it with a brand it would bring you back into the 'bar code' logo which they had to take off. Says who? If it is not illegal to promot...

The onus on you would be to supply evidence . Not 'proof'. There is nobody to judge proof. I can't see how they can save more fuel than by not injecting any, which any old fuel injection systems does as you say egnat69.
