Re: F1-calibre drivers / Available race seats

TBH I think that Pic, Ricciardo, Vergne, Chilton and Gutierrez are not up to the grade and there are 5 drivers who aren't on the grid that deserve to be and would all beat these five, Kobayashi, Alguersuari, Sutil, Kovalainen & Buemi. Also if we are giving a new driver a chance this year it should ...

Re: How well would Vettel have done in Ferrari's F2012?

Vettel in the 2012 Ferrari is more difficult to predict but most importantly, Vettel would have generally qualified in a higher position on the grid in most races than Alonso. I believe that Vettel is really a much better qualifier than Alonso (as is Hamilton). On what basis do you say that? When H...

Re: How well would Vettel have done in Ferrari's F2012?

I agree that Vettel is unproven in a car such as the F2012, both style and circumstances, but I do not agree with the assumption that he wouldn't have performed as well as Alonso in it. A lot of this assumption seems to be based on Vettel's performance in the Red Bull this year - that when it was n...

Interesting; Caterham is hungry of big money for the next years, we'll see if that means a step forward in terms of car performance. Hope they conclude something in the next week, tired of waiting. (Force India too). I'm not sure about whay they're going to achieve with a driver pairing of Senna an...

Its amazing having a grid consisting of such talent, go back as recently as 2006 and you have people like Ide, Montiero, Albers, Speed etc. I can say theres no-one currently signed for next year that hasn't got a podium or I cant imagine ever getting one although Chilton/ Gultierez/ Bottas are unpr...

No you think Hamilton had the last word on it Haribo. We don't really know what went on and who jumped first. I guess it depends on what you're comparing with, my experience with hire karts is that on an indoor track the karts do little more than 30mph, on an outdoor track you're invarable going to be on a much bigger track and more powerful karts doing about 50 mph, so there is a speed difference. Also as...

In the first half of the season - worse than Alonso, in the second part - better than Alonso. On balance - probably the same. However there are few big factors here: 1. Vettel wouldn't want or accept Massa's gearbox "problems" in USA and therefore would probably have 5-10 pts less than Alonso in th...

To be honest I don't think anyone in F1 at the moment currently doesn't deserve to be. The guy can work his way up the "all time wins" list at Red Bull. If he performs like he did in most of 2010 and early 2012, he can beat Vettel in a straight fight and as long as he can do that he will win races. At Ferrari he wouldn't win because Alonso would get the better of him, whether by outr...
