I have Prost 3rd, behind Clark and Senna.

Re: Daily Mirror article

Gilles ahead of Sir Jackie, Schumacher, and Prost and no Nelson Piquet... Gilles was entertaining and a hard racer, but he wasn't exactly a good point scorer. I don't rank Schumacher as the best ever...and some may contend that I am crazy or stupid for that, but no list of your top five is complete ...

Re: Vettel & Schumacher - scary comparisons!

I agree with most of that. We need to see more of Vettel, but I'm not convinced that Alonso or Hamilton are that much better than Mika. Mika was really really quick particularly in qualifying. I think Hamilton might be that quick, or possibly even quicker but I would say Mika was a better qualifier ...

Re: Vettel & Schumacher - scary comparisons!

I don't think Vettel has much chance of being "better" than Schumacher. He, of any of the drivers currently racing, may put up better statistics. But even if he does, he is no-where near as dominant as Schumacher was. Statistics don't tell the whole story IMO. I don't rate Vettel as highly as I do S...

Yes, in 1995 McLaren should've signed Schumacher for their 1996 line-up.

The 1991 McLaren was not the best car. Senna won that title based on a good start to the season, but the 1991 Williams was the best car after about race four.

Re: Massa set to stay at Ferrari in 2013

Once again, the Alonso afraid of a competitive teammate, Ferrari protecting Alonso bullshit floats to the surface. Do you guys ever give up? Alonso went to Ferrari at a time when Massa was well entrenched on the team, the same Massa who missed being WDC by one point just a year earlier. No one knew...

Re: Is driving for Ferrari really that special?

The #2 seat if it is that at Ferrari is probably the 5th or 6th most coveted seat in F-1. I'd put a #1 at McLaren (again presuming this exists), Red Bull, and Mercedes ahead of it. But I'm just a fan. I'm not a driver.

Re: Is driving for Ferrari really that special?

Ferrari is probably the most iconic team in F1. This isn't to denegrate McLaren, Williams, Lotus, or Tyrell - no history of F1 is complete without including them, but Ferrari has won the most and been around the longest. None-the-less I continue to support McLaren and there have been times when driv...

Re: Perez off to McLaren to replace Hamilton?

I would even go so far as to say Perez would show a disturbing (for a F-1 driver) lack of killer instinct if he passes up a McLaren drive for the chance of some future Ferrari drive. This is great - you're judging Perez for turning down an offer that hasn't been made at a team that hasn't confirmed...

Re: Perez off to McLaren to replace Hamilton?

I've said this before, but I would repeat it: Why would you wait for the hope of a Ferrari drive sometime down the road and stick with a mid-field team, when you could sign with McLaren right now? McLaren have had the best car so far this year (with far from the best pit stops and strategy admittedl...

Re: What do you want to happen in 2013?

Hamilton to stay at McLaren. McLaren to win 19 of 20 races and the WDC to be decided between Hamilton and Button at the last race. Massa to re-sign with Ferrari for five years. Williams to finish 2nd in WCC and get the lone non McLaren win. Eddie Jordan and Flavio Briatore to form a new team. Jean D...

Re: You are Whitmarsh, who'd you replace Hamilton with?

Perez Perez would be foolish to wait for a drive at Ferrari if McLaren came calling. That Ferrari drive might never come. This would be an opportunity to get into top drawer equipment right now. Perez could at the very least leverage the McLaren contact to tell Ferrari to fish or cut bait. In fact ...

Re: Piquet Jnr dissing ayrton senna now

Senna had far better technical ability than he gets credit for...not as good as Prost, who may have had the best ever, but far better than most of the racers today and most of his contemporaries. I don't recall what race it was, but there was an event where Senna insisted that something was wrong wi...

Hamilton Button Schumacher Alonso/Vettel I am no fan of Alonso, but he has had some good drives in the wet...seems to be more of a changing conditions guy than a "I lapped the field" guy in the wet though. Only Hamilton or Schumacher have shown the ability to decimate the field. Button is superb on ...

After five races of 2009 they were no-where and Hamilton won in 09...they are light years ahead of 09...McLaren will win both championships this year and if Button can't figure out how to qualify better it will be Hamilton for WDC. Write that down.

Its not the worst decision ever but worthy of being in the discussion:

Balestre flip flopping and giving the order to keep the pole position on the dirty side of the track at Suzuka in 1990 after he had agreed it should be on the clean side prior to qualifying.

1) Hamilton - fastest guy out there...sometimes pushes too hard when he has a car that is close to the best, but not the best. With an equal car he would not need to do this. 2) Vettel - fast and a great qualifier...may not have mastered overtaking should it be necessary and not used to having a sup...

You line up behind someone at a traffic light and lament their slow getaway affecting your "position" as you are bottled up behind them.

You refer to your passing through a toll plaza as your in and out laps and try to do them as fast as possible.
