Re: Will Kimi's comeback be the same as MS comeback (2010-20
I tried to tell you guys that most of you had it all wrong on Kimi. Now we can see he is struggling you still have it wrong. But you go to the other extreme instead. I said in that one thread that he wouldn't make Q3 and people jumped on me for it. I really wasn't surprised that he was in the danger...

Re: Sky F1, what a load of fairy cakes!
Some of you lot are crazy. You get a whole channel devoted to F1 and all you can do is moan. Jeez, at least you can watch live races... But for eternity we have had it for free and recently in HD and with no adverts so I suppose £35 or £40 it has to be a lot better and it's not looking like it is. ...

Got a minor issue with quoting... It looks like we can't attribute quotes to outside sources. For example if I wanted to directly quote a user's post it'd look like... Post. But if, say, Fernando Alonso says something and I wanted to attribute it to him, it looks like... [quote=''Fernando Alonso''] ...

Re: One move to defend an overtake Opinions please.
Something I'm curious about with this one move rule and the whole issue of crowding is what happens when the racing line moves across the track? A good example would be the pit straight in Canada and the Button/Hamilton incident. When I first saw that accident I honestly thought it was 100% Button's...

Re: 2012 F1 Stewards Decisions Thread
I think what is really needed to ensure consistency is to have a group of ex racing drivers, at least 7 of them, to travel to every race. They are the only ones who have the authority to issue penalties and any dispute is settled by democratic vote.
But of course, that is fantasy land thinking.

Come on now, seriously? You have no proof that McLaren ever used these parts, and you couldn't prove it when I asked you to before. The only thing that the FIA was able to prove was that McLaren intended to use them. Nobody has any problem with people having controversial opinions, it's when you tr...

Seriously, you think having Ferrari data to hand slowed McLaren down? Not just that, but Macca got to use the parts developed for '07 and later with a minor rider. Please read WMSC hearing from '07 on Spygate if you have doubts . Macca was indeed faster. A lot of people in the paddock agreed, and i...

Re: Favourite season opener
2008 and 2009 were my favorites. As said earlier, 2008 was pretty entertaining as it was such a crazy high-attrition race, the kind of which we've rarely seen in recent seasons. And 2009 was obviously great for a Jenson fan, but it was also a very entertaining race and also so funny to see the react...

There You are 8O I honestly don't know the statistics for the 011 season, though I know Hamilton came off much worse than button. And to be honest I can't be bothered looking up. But, a single season don't make a career old bean and in the many more years that button had been around, he hadn't real...

Re: 6 World Champions on the grid, but HOW do you rate them?
Ah right okay. So having your car break down three times while leading, including once with three races to go, is simply 'minor troubles in the first half of the season'. And yes, of course I'm too young to remember Kimi's troubles. That's why I'm 20, and saw every race in the 2005 season. Kimi's p...

Don't give me the bullshit that the car wasn't suited to Kimi's style. He and Massa worked in the team together, Kimi was the reigning champion, and you think the team would be against him? Yep, it's fact and you know that too. :D Career achievement: 1. Shumi. - 10 2. Alonso. - 8 3. Kimi - 7.5 4. V...

Re: 6 World Champions on the grid, but HOW do you rate them?
Just coming up with random numbers on the spot is pretty meaningless when rating drivers in this way, particularly when we see drivers competing in many different circumstances i.e coming back to F1/dominant cars/slow cars/team mates etc. Also, some of the fanboyism in this thread is horrible. And I'm pretty sure adverts will become a problem when Sky gets exclusive rights for the full season. Re: Sky announce opening titles and music
It doesn't really matter what I say since the BBC decided to price me out of watching F1 anyways, but I quite liked this intro. It's always much better to see on-track action and hear engine sounds. I'm not a fan of Just Drive but it works with the intro better than I'd have thought.

Re: Button went from......
I think Button is just one of those drivers that struggles in a bad car. He was extremely consistent in the first half of his WDC year, and once Red Bull upped their game he had to push a little harder. That was always one of Schuey's best points- he could drive around the issues of a bad car and w...

OP has this exactly right. Arguably none of those 1978 drivers are in the discussion of greatest driver ever (maybe Lauda?) but there is no doubt the depth of strength that year was incredible. Maybe the 2012 grid matches them, no doubt the lineup looks impressive at the moment and it also has the m...

I'm glad that such an accomplished F1 racer has made the move over to American open-wheel. People shouldn't be so concerned for Barrichello's safety.
