Re: Nico's low self esteem
On the days that Rosberg is on form and Hamilton is lacking, its certainly not unusual for Hamilton to still come away with the victory. A la Bahrain 2014. Everything went right for Nico that day except the start. The safety car came at the perfect time for him meaning he was on the faster tyre. Le...

Re: 2015 Russian GP Race thread
You described the space between them as "only one car fitted in the space between the Williams and the Ferrari". In the same sense as you did, I asked you if this was a euphemistical way of saying Kimi came from far behind. I mean, why get so hung up on the two car lengths thing? It was less, OK, w...

Re: Nico's low self esteem
I'd side with mas on this. On his day he has shown that he has the measure of Lewis. What he needs is more of those days. But they are very rare I disagree. Days when both Rosberg and Hamilton are on their top form, Lewis still has the edge. On the days that Rosberg is on form and Hamilton is lacki...

My predictions for 30 years time: 1. We'll still be wondering whether Bernie will retire from being in charge or die in the job 2. The British GP will be under threat (still) 3. A split second difference in the braking points and F1 cars have a stupidly fast closing speed - hence going from several car lengths to less than one in no time at all. Had the Williams not been there, the Ferrari would not have made the corner anyway. I don't agree. I know this has been debated to death on the other thread but I've seen no evidence that Kimi would have overrun. He wouldn't have the ideal line, but that's not the same thing So he would have passed...

Last lap tango between Kimi and Bottas - who was at fault?
There has been much discussion on the race thread about this, with Mas absolutely certain its Bottas' fault and Fiki who is seemingly erring on a racing incident. Meanwhile all pundits appear to agree with the stewards. In fact, I have read a couple of articles which suggest a couple of pundits thin...

I would like to see all the engines benchmarked by the FIA in terms of horsepower. With Renault it was always a partnership on the ERS side. So this isn't all down on Renault. No, I don't believe this is true. The Honda ICE is down on power on the Mercs and Ferrari by a reported 50-70hp. They claim to be 15-20 hp ahead of Renault. The issue they have is with the ERS. The amount of power you can deploy recovered from the MGU-K is limited by the regulations (120kW or 160hp), but the MGU-H isnt. Honda are st...
