Re: The big 6 then the rest?
I'm not sure I'd describe any top driver in my lifetime as being totally fair. Hamilton has a great talent in judging how far he can push into the blurry bit about fairness, whilst rarely going over it. This is a compliment of him, not a criticism. I think almost all elite level sports folk in indiv...

The 4 elite talents to break through in my years of watching F1. Schumacher, Alonso, Hamilton and Verstappen. 3 of them showed up in F1 and you realised they were very special within a few races of their debut. Missed that Alonso got a penalty til now. Very confused. Is the art of slowing down in a corner to reduce the car behind’s momentum dead? Re: 2024 Australian Grand Prix Race Thread
I think calling it a brake test is a little unfair, even if it technically was one. The spirit of what Alonso was doing, wasn't to brake test Russell in the way we understand the term brake test. I've no reason to disbelieve Alonso, his recount seems like what he was trying to do, and what happened....

Re: 2024 Australian Grand Prix Race Thread
Not sure I'd call what Alonso done a brake check as per how we all understand it. He was playing a DRS game though, although I don't think the consequence was intended. It was a deliberate action taken to avoid DRS detection that caused a fairly major accident. Russell isn't totally blameless for cr...

Obviously it's more interesting to have 2 drivers in a title fight compared to 1 driver in a title fight. Dominance is tolerable when that happens.

Verstappen is one of the easiest picks on the grid. Perez will do a little better this year but it will still be a trouncing around 80/20.
Hamilton will be at Russell at around a 60/40 split.

Shorten the length of the cars by at least 100cm to bring them to similar length to a big car.
Decrease the braking performance to make braking zones about 25% longer
Simplify the aero. 2 element front wings.

Michael was 2nd in 1997. Frentzen and Webber would be the worst P3s. Perez has tried different setups to beat Max and this is why the car hasn't seemed as capable in his hands but it's the mental errors that's ruined this season. Frentzen is the official vice-champion of 1997. But yes, performance-...

Tbh Perez has only managed to finish 2nd in the WDC, because the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th best car have been often close in performance and the order has been quite interchangable.
