Re: The Official Lewis Hamilton thread
Who actually is claiming he is a peacemaker anyway? He is a racing driver, he was annoyed at himself for under-performing, I personally would only be concerned if someone else was hurt.

Re: Hamilton vs rosberg. Part 265
If it were earlier in the race it would be reasonable to suggest he would have got a drive through penalty, which would have affected his final position. Blue on blue seems to be the get off. Are we waiting for a blue on blue to cause injury before the stewards realise they have to penalise the act,...

Re: Hamilton vs rosberg. Part 265
Inclined to agree, LH doesn't seem to seek contact, when it did occur in Spain he was out of control. I think he is confident in his ability to beat Nico with his car intact.
Incidentally, have you noticed every time LH and NR have an incident Rosberg always says, "I was very surprised by the move".

Re: Hamilton vs rosberg. Part 265
I didn't bother checking their reasoning. There is a rule against deliberately forcing another driver off the track. I've not been in favour of that ever since Hamilton started it, and then with Mercedes accepting it, Rosberg had to do the same thing. My real issue is with Mercedes and them accepti...

Re: Hamilton vs rosberg. Part 265
I don't really understand the debate here... It's fairly black and white, you have to leave a cars width, Rosberg didn't do that and caused a collision. The stewards saw it that way, and I haven't seen any other former driver that has called it any other way either. You can debate the intention beh...

Re: Hamilton vs rosberg. Part 265
Rosbeg made the corner by braking longer in a straight line. He did turn into the corner before Hamilton hit him. https://streamable.com/dmx4 He made the corner because he hit Hamilton, That is just physics, law of conservation of momentum. Re: Austrian GP Qualifying and Race Thread
He was never far enough alongside to block Hamilton's car without contact. he was And I disagree about this :) Hamilton was ahead, he could turn in if he left enough space for Rosberg. Which he did, seeing as how he was on the outside of the corner way way way far from the apex. And I disagree with...

Re: Austrian GP Qualifying and Race Thread
As I have said many times, what Nico did was wrong. My points are that had Hamilton kept going and moved off the track beyond the white lines, then no crash would have happened. Should Lewis have had to do this in a race? No. It's wrong. Comparing it to the US race start is useful because had Nico ...

Re: Hamilton vs rosberg. Part 265
I was always against such moves to force other cars off the track at a corner, but it has become established practice in the Mercedes team. Nico has to be allowed to do the same thing within the team. Maybe the team will now establish that from now on, they are not permitted to force each other off...

Re: Hamilton vs rosberg. Part 265
Rosberg has learned well from Hamilton and Mercedes. This was bound to happen because Rosberg was forced to act the same way as Hamilton. Forced because he was going to be overtaken, he lost his cool and made a clumsy move that led to him ruining his own race and gifting a positions to Verstaphen a...

Can the people who vote Hamilton please let me let me know who they are so I can safely disregard anything they say in future. That's nuts. Count me in. Re: Hamilton vs rosberg. Part 265
Morally Rosberg was in the wrong and Hamilton was in the right. But intellectually, come on guys, even my stupid goldfish knew that if both drivers continued to contest that corner it would end in tears. That was dumb on Hamilton's part to make that collision inevitable, it was going to happen. Not...

Re: Austrian GP Qualifying and Race Thread
Anyone understand the grid penalty application? Rosberg only drops 4 places. Maybe because Vettel also has 5 places. I think it works like this: Rosberg 2 + 5 = 7. Vettel 4+5=9. But because 1 car (Vettel) is gone from 4th place, Rosberg actually starts 6th. My understanding was Vettel's penalty was...

Re: Sky Sports lands exclusive F1 television coverage in UK
This is sad news and the move seems just wrong. Even now, Formula 1 is behind the times in not providing online streaming from Formula1.com. By 2019 it will just be absurd that we need a Sky package and not just pay to stream races on demand. Goodnight sweet F1. In the UK at least. What other sport...

By F1 crew do you mean presenters? If so as far as I know David Coulthard is contributing to Top Gear would that limit his availability, would you want that group in bulk?
