Re: 2023 British Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread
Amazing performance by Mclaren. Piastri is not having fully upgraded car I think but his performance shows he can be one of the best drivers soon. Perez will do well to get P5 I think after another shocker from him. Except Max lol top 10 should be intresting tomorrow.

Re: 2023 Austrian Grand Prix Race Thread
Track limit rule is silly. I do not think there is even any advantage, either they put gravel or do not make corner like these. I like these corner and at least in Race they should allow them. There is a significant advantage. That is why some drivers do it. Usually it is only few centimeters as so...

Boring race for Montreal standard. I think in the top teams have closed the gap to RBR and Williams also had a big upgrade this race. It could be track specific but good if top4 teams are close to each other.

I think he is one of the best driver this year so far. AT is one of the worst car and he is consistenly fighting for points obviously with top teams having some issue but he is doing great. He had the speed but only use to have 4 or 5 good races before lol. RBR, AM, Mercedes, Ferrari, Alpine are top...

Only Mercedes and Mclaren team did well. Perez, Stroll in particular are performing way below average. Throughout the qualifying it looked as if Max and Alonso will be 1-2, may be Leclerc could beat Alonso but some how he did not make it into Q3 :uhoh: Hulk would not have made it into Q2 if Gasly wa...

Mercedes seems to have made big upgrade and jumped ahead. AM was poor and even behind Sainz but there is something seriously wrong with Charles car The changes to the track is very good and it also helped in overtaking which used to be very rare.

Yuki, Russell, Zhou. There was brake dust when he was defedning against Zhou, wonder if he had brake issue again but he is having great year so far. Mclaren, Haas fell a lot in race. AM, Alpine also had poor pace.

Another disaster for Charles. It is always his Ferrari that has these problems :uhoh: Perez was at his best form and another huge mistake in qualifying. He did not look fast but he has to get podium at least driving a RBR. Apart from Max who had no competition it was good qualifying IMO. Ferrari, AM...

Amazing performance from Max. Not sure he had to but he did same laps as Alonso and was always pulling away from him on medium tyres. Good call though as they were waiting for rain. Ocon has to be best blocker, but great result for him. Yuki was unlucky not be get P9

Great news. Honda did amazing from being the worst in power and reliability to one of the best engine now. Probably one of the best performance by Max. I think his Saudi lap was still the best which unfortunately he could not complete lol. Alpine are pretty good as well. Ocon did an amazing lap too. Max did an amazing race. He looked fast all weekend but Ferrari fell of massively on hard tyres. Charles had a poor race being stuck behind K Mag who I think overtook him twice. Charles is an amazing driver but crashes way too much :x But I think it is good that Max is P9 so we will see some overtaking lol. It should still be RBR 1-2. DRS range in Baku main straight was 100m less than last year. Also even with regulation teams have found a way to add more downforece so it is now more difficult to follow the cars unlike lasyt year. Which I think is a bigger problem :( https://www.racefans.net/2023/05/01/f1-drivers-blame-shortened-...

Perez had to win as this is one of his best tracks. Excellent weekend for him. Charles was also impressive all weekend. He also seems to be specialist on this track. Shame stroll made that mistake. However, he was only 0.140 off Alonso. I voted for Russell. I thought it would take him some six months or so to settle. But from the start he was consistent. It was always a mistake leaving Redbull career wise, but financially he has done well. I agree. Huge mistake.
