Re: offending people?

You can avoid offence by simply using the correct terminology. For instance a ‘fat ugly lazy tart’ becomes a ‘curvy aesthetically challenged motivationally deficient morally unencumbered person’. Here are a few terms to get you started: Lazy - motivationally deficient Stupid - intellectually impair...

"They drive in a different league, they are six or eight seconds slower, and so they need to watch out more" Its probably because they signed up to Formula 1 under the impression there was going to be a budget cap which all teams adhered to... Re: Track Day Car help

I do like the idea of the BMW, but need to get a move on as those cars are fairly quickly becoming a classic.. I did see a semi auto Mitsubishi FTO, which is semi-auto... I suppose an option is to again try manual, the issue was with the pedal, but I have since had hip replacement, so may be easier...

I don't see how anyone could not see that those images were posted simply to incite a reaction - there is no way something like that would be posted out of innocence and the author of the posts has been around long enough to know exactly what he was doing. Which was trolling. the only reaction they...

Re: Mock The F1 #2: Bad Things For A Backmarker To Say

Don't mock the backmarkers until you've read about Al Pease - the only driver ever to be black flagged for being too slow! 1969 Canadian GP at Mosport Jacky Ickx was on pole for Brabham with a 1:17.4. Pease was 17th out of 20, 11.1 seconds behind. But Pete Lovely, who was 16th, was a whole 5.6 secon...

You can have fun in just about any car, it just depends how close to it's limits you're prepared to take it.

You do seriously need to get your manual drivers licence though.

I wanted to say more than a year away, because I suspect people will steer clear of signing him until the suspended sentence is gone. I think it may still be in place by the time 2013 season starts. But since the case is over or withdrawn, what are the chances that Sutil may actually serve a part o...

Bertrand Gachot was sent down for assaulting a taxi driver, but he still managed to get a seat in F1 - almost as soon as he got out of prison. It just depends how much money Sutil has behind him, and which team needs it the most.

Re: Karthikeyan & the FIA hit back at Vettel

And about the crash, those are Narnain's words, not mine. First I assumed he made the move to avoid a wet part of the track but he said it was due to wheelspin, which doesn't happen randomly but rather because of mis driving the car (going into the wet kerb, taking a rather bad line and angle, acce...

Re: Karthikeyan & the FIA hit back at Vettel

It was NK's fault (or at least he said it was), but Vettel could see he was struggling before he overtook him, so maybe should have used more caution and prehaps avoided the incident entirely. I don't think drivers should be penalised for expressing their emotions (provided it doesn't get out of han...
