Re: 2021 Engine Proposals announced

Wonder if this will actually come to pass... so often F1 announces things and then later on changes it's mind. In fact sometimes it's hard to believe that F1 is actually a professional entity! https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/ferrari-f1-future-974190/ And here we go... "...it needs to be absolute...

Re: 2021 Engine Proposals announced

A regular, naturally aspirated, petrol-powered internal combustion engine is what... 20% efficient? What are the current cars? 45%? It's a huge difference. And don't forget, the more efficient, the more power gets to the wheels for each litre of fuel, it's not only about fuel saving. Nobody cares. ...

The simplest way to increase power is to increase revolutions. More gas and air, more power. I am adverse in going down the low RPM/efficiency route, it takes everything working in perfect harmony top achieve this efficiency. BINGO kleefton. I've been in Kart races that were louder and sounded better and those are measly 125cc motors. Herb, I went to several CART races and I would disagree they weren't as loud. They just had a lower pitch to them so perhaps a tad less "impressive" to the soul, but they were very loud. L...

Pretty disappointed they're getting rid of the MGU-H. Seems pushing tech comes second to 'DA NOIZE!!!!11!' No it doesn't. Re: Interesting article; future of motorsport

The hybrid engines have been an abject disaster for Formula One. Do you care to explain your point of view ? The engines were sold to the teams that they would be lower cost. Instead, they are massively higher in cost. We've seen several teams fold up shop due to the explosion in higher costs, all ...

People have a lot of hate for hybrid engines but I really quite like them. It's simple, ugly technology to just stick a big, loud V10 in something to make it go fast and please the yahoos who want "DA LOUD NOIZEZ".
