Re: Turkey 21 - Alonso Penalty
I'm confused as to what we're voting for - is it Gasly's penalty or Alonso's penalty for his move on Mick ? In that case... deserved! I was gutted though as I had high hopes for Fernando after Saturday. What seemed strange to me was the overall pace of the field relative to the conditions...

Be interesting to see the proposed layout of the new track, but I fear this year's race will be quite a borefest based on the layout.

Re: 2021 Russian Grand Prix Race Thread
I'm amazed Norris got away with his pit lane entry, surely that is a black and white thing. The race was weirdly absorbing for 46 laps despite not much happening. The end of the race was carnage. Disappointing for Norris, whose inexperience showed, but McLaren should have ordered him in although it...

Netflix would consider 'buying' F1 to stream races
https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/netflix-would-think-about-f1-buyout-to-stream-races/6672924/ Netflix is saying it wouldn't stream any live sport but then goes on to say that if it did, it would want to fully-own the sport otherwise it would have no control over the content. We've all seen how hot-headed Verstappen can be - Brazil 2018 being a prime example.
Just because he couldn't bear the thought of a 'slower car' unlapping himself he chose to race Ocon, and lost a win as a result.
The boy just doesn't learn.

Re-watching the start and Max doesn't even attempt to go around the outside of Daniel into turn one.

Red Bull did it in 2019 too, so nothing to do with Kimi's number. It's just branding.

There's only so much even the greatest drivers can do in inferior machinery. See Senna in 94, Schumacher in 05 for a couple of examples. Do you mean 1993? Schumacher's 2005 season was wrecked by tyres; apparently the F2005 was on a par with the 2004 car, we just didn't have the chance to see it due...

His pole lap at Silverstone 2007 was mega, although back then it was qualifying with race fuel so not exactly a 'level' playing field.

I'm 5 episodes in and feel it's definitely catered to non-F1 people. I enjoy the behind the scenes stuff but the on-track action is just laughable. The DAS in Austria clip is almost embarrassing! It's a shame they don't use the 10 episodes to focus each episode on each team and make them an hour long.

I've had the same feelings with the Verstappens and Schumachers. The only downside with Mick joining the grid in '21 is that his father won't be in the garage to cheer him on. It seems fitting that the first F1 race I watched with my dad was Monaco '92. The strange thing is, it wasn't the battle between Senna and Mansell that captivated me, it was Murray's commentary. His love for Damon was so obvious, but less annoying than the Hamilton love-fest we see from commentators...
