Re: Worst driver on the first lap.

I knew that Valtteri has had some abysmal starts this year. Same with Checo. I didn't realize that Gasly and Norris had that much of a problem on the starts. For Lewis and Max there are not very many if any places to be gained on a start, but a lot of opportunity to lose position. Looks like Mick Sc...

So far Danica has exceeded my expectations. She is not doing a half bad job. I agree. Much better than I expected. Strangely enough, her fashion choice leaves me very puzzled... Basic black - fine; shoulder asymmetry - questionable; weird pants legs - just plain weird. Much worse is the (Texas-orie...

Re: Should Bottas be sacked?

Valtteri did everything that could have been asked of him today. He got a hat trick this weekend with Pole F-lap, & the Win. He does need to figure out how to make his "off" weekends pay off better for the team. Hopefully this win puts him in a better frame of mind for the upcoming races. As much as...

Hamilton with 4 Redbulls ahead of him and the majority of cars on the same strategy, 3rd will be a very good result. Verstappen, Gasly, and Perez all start on the dirty side of the track. Hopefully Valtteri (going for a win) gives Max more trouble than he did in Sochi. If he can't keep the RBR, which is noticeably slower on the straights behind him Valtteri does indeed have some problems.

Doesn't have any real esses, or rhythm section.

One has to wonder if the second DRS zone will be between 3-4 or between 15-16. Neither is a very long straight.

Seems like another soulless Tilke designed race track.

Re: One of these days a pair of title rivals will kill one another

The point is that it is rare that fatalities have resulted from wheel to wheel contact in F1. Most fatalities are the result of mechanical failures or drivers who lose the car on their own. Could Max or Lewis take each other out in a wheel to wheel racing incident? Absolutely!! Still there is not a ...

Re: Should Bottas be sacked?

As much as it would benefit Mercedes to sack Valtteri and put George in the car for the rest of the year, I think Toto's sense of loyalty to his drivers and sense of adhering to promises made, will mean that Vlatteri will finish out the rest of the year in the Merc.

Historically Formula 1 fatalities have been solo events. I have to say that Fernando Alonso did a much more effective job of holding Max up than Valtteri did today. If not for the rain, Max would likely have finished behind Freddie. I would love it if Formula 1 could have wheel to wheel dicing and passing like Indycar has. The cars can overtake and follow closely without elements such as rain to aid the competition.

Actually both series could learn from each other on some of their practices.
