Re: 2017 Mexican Grand Prix Race Thread
I think, Verstappen should start to manage his engine. Bottas is no match and all other competitors are in no position to put any threat on him.

Re: 2017 Mexican Grand Prix Race Thread
Vettel has to give that place back to Massa. I think if you give someone no option to leave the track you can hardly complain if they overtake you off track. No, you hit the brakes and try again. JHC do people think that Vettel is just entitled to everything? Vettel was clearly in front when they e...

Re: 2017 Mexican Grand Prix Race Thread
What a Shame... A WDC race Now ruined by a guy(Verstappen) who thinks he is still playing videogames. This was the same stuff Verstappen did to Vettel in Canada. Vettel had lost downforce after the contact today so he could not brake properly to avoid Hamilton. What a shame. Good job. That is a som...

Re: 2017 Mexican Grand Prix Race Thread
Why is it becoming more and more acceptable for drivers to completely shove others off the racing track? It's getting worse each year. Vettel should definitely not hand that back IMO. Massa hasn't shoved him off at all, where else is he meant to go? He did. From his onboard it even looked deliberate.

I can't answer that, because I'm pretty sure that I didn't witness all overtakes of the race. Kudos to you, that you managed to do that.guardiangr wrote:Did anyone else completed a pass outside the track limits and didn't get penalised at this race? I'll answer it for you, no.

Re: 2017 US Grand Prix Race Thread
Looked like a slam dunk penalty to me. I agree all the other off track driving should have been punished too though. Stupid call by the stewards... Max had so much speed on Kimi that he had two choices.... hit him or go off track to not hit him. Brake? I'm not sure, braking was an option. Verstappe...

And max is given a 5 sec penalty...... I'm so sorry for Max here, as that is a really sucky way to find out he got a penalty for doing what Vettle and others did in gaining their finshes....... :( I saw plenty of folks abusing the track limits today and while I'm a Kimi fan - it sucks to win 3rd by...

Re: 2017 US Grand Prix Race Thread
To be honest, he left the track with all four to overtake (there is no clearer gaining an advantage). But there were so many track limit offences this weekend, that I'm quite surprised and somewhat gutted for Verstappen after a great race.

Does Alonso dislike Vettel, or like Hamilton more? Two races in a row he's pushed the limits when it comes to hindering Vettel, and helping Hamilton. Vettel did not replace his steering wheel. Another FIA investigation. He actually went back to collect it, and took it with him Which is even worse, it's meant to stay with the car. It'll be a fine of some sort I imagine. A clear violation of FIA regulations. Oh dear. Tar an feather him, I'd say!

Reading some of the comments here leaves me somewhat puzzled ... Just playing devils advocate (since I think, it was a racing incident). But on the picture Verstappen is clearly "behind" both the Ferraris. He could have backed out easily which would have avoided the incident, but was as reluctant as the other two to give up his position although it was already lo...
