Re: 2017 Belgian Grand Prix Race Thread
So basically we just won't get actual overtaking at the front. There's a point where fans have had enough. Always thinking tyres MIGHT fall. An overtake MIGHT happen. Nope, Vettel will just stay around 2 seconds behind, no overtaking, and everyone will pretend at the end how close and exciting it w...

I fear, Merc will turn up the engine one more time and take pole. Overtaking in Hungary is virtually impossible, so they will be able to preserve the engine for almost the whole race.

Mika Salo was one of the judges today and he have now told finnish Ilta-Sanomat that the 0.201 s reaction time wasn't true. In fact, Bottas's car moved 0.003 s before the lights went out but the tolerance is 0.010 s. Really? FIA representatives stated, that they won't disclose the tolerance. And 0....

I'm not convinced, that it was a poor performance. I'm sure - since Mercedes knew that Lewis has to go back five places - they opted to set the car up for better overtaking abilities than one lap pace.lamo wrote:Poor performance from Hamilton, here is hoping for rain tomorrow!

Is today the big day? When Vettel is told he's a naughty boy; and not to do it again? Followed by Todt waffling on about road safety? Yes; I think so. Almost spot on  Young driver education it is. But he is removed from road safety ads until the end of the season. That's brilliant

Not that I'm comparing what Vettel did to that, it was super low speed and any notion of 'danger' was hilarious. I'm surprised Hamilton didn't get on the radio though and start complaining of a vibration coming from the front left... I think he missed a trick there. To be honest, I didn't think abo...
