Re: "If I don't fight for a win I am no longer a racing driv
Cos the typical world champion will crash his teammate out. Have we really come to this low a view on F1 as a sport? If so, thanks very much Senna and Schumacher! :x Please quote me in the proper context. I'm not saying world champions should crash out their teammates. I'm saying given the situatio...

Re: Vettel lying about knowing he shouldn't overtake
If Vettel ends-up beating Alonso to the WDC by 3 points again he will be remembered as a 4xWDC rather than the pantomime villain of Malaysia. Besides, I'm sure Webber turned-up his engine once his mirrors were full so it was a fair overtake IMO. Wrong. By then the gap was already narrowed and Vette...

Re: "If I don't fight for a win I am no longer a racing driv
Vettel is selfish no doubt, but then which WDC has not been. As far as Ive seen Vettel he has done everything to boost his chances for the title. But when ever I see Mark doing something against Vettel its more like payback. Thats the difference in how they each think. What Seb did was unethical, b...

Re: Rosberg was not low on fuel
What difference does it make ? both drivers haven't done anything wrong, one driver qualifies further up the grid, gets told to attack the red bulls, uses more fuel doing so and gets told to slow and save fuel, the other driver catches him, tries to pass a couple of times doesn't pull it off, towar...

Re: Vettel lying about knowing he shouldn't overtake
Wow, really? All those radio messages telling him he was being silly, back off, etc. didn't jog his memory? Unbelievable that he's trying to pass it off as a mistake instead of what it actually was - blatant disregard for an intra team agreement. Absolutely he's a full of fairy cakes Schumacher in ...

Re: Angry-looking Lewis Hamilton
I think we can safely say, judging from Brawn's past record with Ferrari, that he only wants his star driver to win. Don't be surprised if after Race 5 or 6, Nico is told to let Lewis pass after the last pit stop. The writing is on the wall. Lewis was brought in to win the title, with Nico playing ...

Re: Vettel: "Mark is too slow get him out of the way" [MERGE
Seb is extremely dirty. At least Schumi only did it to opposing teams. Within his own team, there was no trickery. Barrichello knew exactly what he needed to do. This makes even Senna's crashes with Prost look angelic. At least, they knew what they were in for. Webber simply had no clue, and worse, ...

Re: Is It the Time For the RBR To Follow the Example of Ferr
Ferrari does not have a no.1 driver for now. It all boils down to who's leading at some point in the championship. The clear no.1 days are over. Alonso does not have the kind of support Schumi had. As for RBR, they obviously treat their drivers equally. However, they are not dealing with Vettel enou...

You expected anything less from him? He's shown us in previous years that he'll do anything for a win and would sell his own mother down the river if it earnt him another title. Re: Vettel-Rosberg Double Standards
That's the difference between a world champion and one who is not. Try asking Senna not to pass in a similar situation and he would not listen. Try asking Senna to turn down the engine and he would go even faster, knowing he has a sneaky teammate. This explains why ppl like Barrichello, Rosberg, Web...

Alonso will be sacked if he can't win the title and only if Ferrari can bring Vettel over. Massa is likely to retain his usual supporting role.

as long as points are pretty even, there'll be no clear number 1 till the final few races. If Massa maintains his pace over Alonso, he'll get it. I always feel Massa is more loved at Ferrari considering how much they've done for him.

They would have won if not for these 3 things: 1. Alonso not leaving Raikkonen room, 2. The decision to continue on old tires in Canada, 3. Destroying Massa's motivation and confidence. They could have taken both championships, even with the car they had. As for the WDC: 3 points. Alonso lost it al...

Re: Alonso/Ferrari Vs Raikkonen/Ferrari
I agree Alonso is better than Kimi. But Ferrari was crazy to let go their champion. You can also say they were terribly unlucky in 2008 and 2010. I don't rate this year as unlucky as Ferrari was simply slower. I don't think they had any choice. Santander/Alonso had no interest in a competitive team...

Seb is an awesome driver. Just compare his points to Webber and it says it all. But I cannot say Seb is better than Alonso or Hamilton as he won it in what is the best car. Alonso brought the 3rd best car to 2nd position in the WDC. In other words, he should be placed 3rd or 4th at best. F1 is a tea...

in 2010, i would say fire Stefano cos he made a bizarre strategy decision in Abu Dhabi that cost Alonso the title. This year, they just didn't have a car quick enough for the WDC. Alonso's 2nd place greatly flatters the Ferrari. Had it been a normal race, it would be a 5th or 6th place Ferrari. The ...

Sounds to me like the media coverage of the race in the US was poor. Yes the venue was packed but I get the impression that those who attended were already F1 fans anyway. From my perspective from across the Atlantic, it doesn't look like the race has done much to raise F1's profile in the States. ...

Why did F1 fail in Indianapolis but succeed in Austin? Surely there are more racing fans in Indy? Because the Indy track is owned and controlled by the George family. Why did F1 fail in Indianapolis but succeed in Austin? Surely there are more racing fans in Indy? Well they sold the same amount of tickets roughly in both. On the form on the last 8 races he can beat Alonso on his day. If the Ferrari is strong next year he can win a race or two. I'd hope if Ferrari are 1-2 in Brazil and Vettel is out of points/retired that they'll give Massa the win to cancel out Germany 2010 and also as a reward for Austin. And while...

Re: Massa for one last win?
Alonso does not enjoy the kind of number one status that Schumi had. The only reason Massa is sacrificing is because he is out of contention and even earlier on, he was too far off Alonso in terms of points. If Massa maintains current form and they are evenly matched next year, Alonso won't get this...

Some of the most exciting races this season have been when Perilli has provided the teams with an unpredictable set of tires. I find Perilli picking the optimum tire for a race to be boring and coddling the teams. It seems to be an exercise designed to make the teams look good at the expense of goo...

There's no way Massa would crash. The best scenario I can think of is either Massa or Alonso refusing to yield in a dogfight with Vettel, resulting in a crash. I remembered Brawn saying Schumacher did not give a firm decision on staying on and Merc didn't want to wait and signed Hamilton. It was Schumi's indecision rather than Merc firing and judging by today's quali (better than the Ferraris), i think Schumi is regretting quitting. He's still quick!
