Both of you are getting confused of what each other said. Damn, I should have got some pop corn before I started reading this! But, yeah. I believe Shoot99 is saying that Hamilton is given equal treatment to Rosberg to race, however, he is not given the optimum strategy (getting into the pits first)...

Outright speed, Hamilton for me. But Nico is playing a brilliant tactic game and he keeps being ahead in the points, so Kudos to him too Niki Lauda recently made a comment about that; he said that Hamilton is 1, perhaps 2 tenths quicker. So I can believe you are right in pointing him out. But how d...

Re: Who are the 'on their day' drivers?

As much as Kimi has been inconsistent this year, I'd still say he is a consistent driver. An I believe the Hulk is one of the most consistent drivers out there. If I were to do a most consistent chart, I would have: 1. Alonso 2. Hulkenburg 3. Rosberg 4. Raikonen 5. Kvyat so far 6. Vettel 7. Chilton ...

Oh yeah, I know. I wasn't directly talking about you, but more the general feedback F1 is getting this year and reports that the viewing figures have gone down. I don't know why everyone is becoming turned off Formula 1 2014. I love the way there are two competitive drivers going head-to-head every race with equal machinery. Even though the driver I support has no chance of winning, I still think it makes for a great spectacle. Having two drivers go wheel t...

The teammate is used as the yardstick and Alonso has simply crushed his teammates past and present. Do note that it's not like he's just beaten his teammates, but he beat them by a mile. Re: Fastest Driver on the Grid in 2014

I voted Alonso. He is my favorite driver alright but I'm sure it's not a stretch to say he has been doing a superb job. Riccardo, Hamilton and Rosberg are strong rivals in that race but I still think it's Alonso. The question is not: Who is your favorite driver, but who is the fastest driver on the...

At the moment, I believe that the Ferrari is the 6th fastest car in the grid, and the engine is probably as bad as that of Renault, taking into account that the Red Bull has the least amount of downforce. If they are underweight, then Perez' car and body would be under the limit. To bring it up to the limit, they put in ballast at the front of the car, to reduce understeer. I'm pretty sure if you put ballast at the front of the car, it creates even more understeer. Sorry, I just realised what I said...

I'm talking about a calendar of street circuits and road races that makes Spa look tame. Revive places like Hockenheim and the original Osterreichring, revisit ...

Is being able to manage your tyres really the same as which of the two is faster? We know Perez has always been superb with this, but is it an attribute that will aid drivers down the line? For these two drivers, we must look at the future, and if we will still have the issue of tyre management, the...

Terrible strategy. Every race they seem to get it wrong. I know that they felt Mercedes were in a league of their own and just get the 3rd and 4th, but Bottas proved that they werent too far behind in terms of pace. Also, it would have been difficult for Mercedes to pass Williams because of the drag...

Yeah, I think that Perez got the better strategy and grid position (ironically) today. Hulkenburg's scrubbed tyres hindered him and got stuck in traffic, along with Perez, where he should have made his advantage with the softer tyres. In the last stint in Canada, Hulkenburg had to manage his tyres, ...
