Re: Rank the Wingmen
I haven't watched F1 long enough to follow all these drivers, but is it common for the wingmen to have much worse luck then the team leader? Bottas having 8 retirements since 2017 and 1 for Hamilton seems a bit odd. One was his fault in germany, but still... Has happened quite a bit over the years ...

Just saw this on Reddit, ranking number 2 drivers by their second place finishes: https://i.redd.it/3p3vuwsglkz61.jpg Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/ne1es2/number_1_number_2s_nonwdc_drivers_with_the_most/ Interesting, but flawed I think. I like it, and since I never saw any of the hype ahead of time I didn't have any anticipation spoiled. I agree. Didn't see any of the journo comments or hype, just saw the livery this morning. Looks great! I also enjoy the hype around the Monaco GP. It might not be pure F1, but it's one of those ev...

Re: The Race as One Initiative
It's simple for me. I dont tune in to see the wra1. A blm movement. Or anything decisive in the political world or in general life. I think the problem here is seeing it as a divisive political issue. It absolutely isn't and shouldn't be. It's a social problem and a deeply wrong one. There is no va...

Re: The Official Lando Norris thread
Lando did have a lot of bad luck in one of their seasons, which I thought flattered Sainz in terms of making him look a lot better than Norris. I’ve thought they were close from the off and Lando may turn out to be better in time given that he is only a few seasons in. Looking at the comparison bet...

I am surprised Ricciardo has only been mentioned once. The best racecraft and passing under brakes ability on the grid in my opinion. The Renault didn't give him much to work with (but he still managed some great wheel-wheel exchanges), but I think the McLaren might see him back at his best. Verstap...

They should have become a Mercedes B-Team when the opportunity was there (early years of hybrid regulations). I'd agree that the choices are Hamilton signs or Hamilton retires. And yes there's an infinitesimal chance of him not signing... But there's still a chance given it's nearly February and the contract still isn't sorted. There has clearly been some major stumbling blocks (probably financial) preventi...

They wont sign him for 2 reasons… First they want to continue to project to the world that their YDP is one of, if not the absolute best in the world and prefer to field Albon one more season at least, and the other reason is because they are perhaps afraid that Checo might match and even beat Max ...

Maybe there needs to be another way to identify the driver in the car more easily. I don't think it's reasonable to expect a driver to get a helmet designed on day 1 and keep it forever.

I think Hamilton's debut was impressive but being in one of the best cars in the field from day 1 certainly helped that. There was no doubt about his talent after a string of podiums out the gate. Bathurst is basically just an endurance race... It would be a brave man who would say this in an Australian pub on a Friday afternoon... It doesn't matter if there are individuals taking things too far, overall there are millions of people participating or supporting the movement.
My question is, why even make this argument?
