Re: Massa: "Fernando’s driving is amazing..."
Poor Felipe. I definitely think that the injury is injuring his career. I'm not a shrink but I really do think that the impact left him a trace somewhere on his subconscious mind. Given the nature of F1 were thousands of seconds matter... very suspicious. - I hope he gets better.

Re: The epic battle for thread supremacy
Hamilton seems to have a lot of stuff in common with Schumi, that is abundant bad luck for both of them and they really hate the Pirellis' this season.

Re: Schumacher to 100 Victories
I sense there is something going on at the Merc factory. Schumacher's recent comments hint that W03 didn't get the necessary updates fitted for Spain in time. The three upcoming tracks might just suit them to provide Schumi a 2/3 wins (Monaco very far fetched with the penalty).

Re: The Whole F1 Is "Ruined" Argument.
To quote myself from another thread: F1 fans are the whiniest group of people I know of. Since 1997 when I started watching, there hasn't been a single season without people crying vocally about one thing or another. Too few winners, too many winners, boring, too unpredictable, artificial, too expe...

Re: Schumacher to 100 Victories
Never say never. All it takes is just one tiny development to render a car as the class of the field though sadly the current tires will likely prevent that this season, or at least that's the way the season has proven thus far. I agree with you. But, say he takes a couple of wins and a couple of p...

Testing drivers' patience yes, but not the skill. -What they're doing is basically trying to say to the drivers, let's see how slow you can go in a super fast car. Why? - You know, to conserve tires! FTSH.Colinjb wrote:I voted Pirelli.

Schumacher to 100 Victories
I was wondering maybe the reason why Schumacher returned to F1 is because he wants to complete a Century (like in Snooker with more than 100 Points win). He's got 91 Victories, only 9 needed to complete 100, to become the only driver with 100 victories, a legend with a whole number probably. I'm jus...

I think you're mistaken. Clearly Merc is disadvantageous when it comes to traction and low speed corners. They'll be horrid on Monaco, you'll see.zyphro wrote:I'm tipping Schumacher to win; he'll certainly have the fire in his belly. Further, the Merc is very good in slow speed+traction corners.

I think Monaco should suit either Red Bulls or Sauber's. But Williams' exhaust system seems to be working very well on providing rear grip. Who knows for sure? - It's a very strange season.

Re: Should Schumacher finally decide to call it a day
OK cut the cr..p. Anyone with more than less an experience of race driving should know that while braking you cannot fidget around with your car, especially in a complex car such as an F1 Machine with the DRS open. From a technical stand point it was Schumi's fault because he misjudged the breaking ...

Re: McLaren's New Rear Wing
The Mercedes DDRS system uses two tubes at least an inch of diameter to duct air from the rear to front. If this is tubing, it may be used with fluidic amplifiers or switches to achieve the same goals, but this appears to be wires because in some places the turns are very tight. Go back, look harde...

Re: McLaren's New Rear Wing
Yes, but the intriguing part is that it runs sideways as well. Look around the edges of the wing and you can clearly see that they're either collecting the high pressure air into the tiny air sockets to channel it to the front, or those tubes indeed run from the underneath the car to the diffuser an...

That's what I've been saying all this year. Bridgestone's where simpler and more elegant, making them work wasn't such a big problem and drivers and in 2010 we've seen right at the end of Abu Dhabi race that the Champion was announced. Compare that to 2011, the dullest season ever. I'd say the best ...

I see what this is. It's merely an attempt from Horner, Et Al, to mess up with Mercedes' development focus. Because they know for sure that, if Mercedes' comes up with a solution to the tyre overheating/underheating problem and the W-Duct system, W03 will literally fly. I'm pretty confident that eve...

Guys don't get too exited. For the race pace was indeed improved, however, they're still 1 sec away from Maccas and 0.7 from Red Bulls. Above that, the tyre degradation is still high comparing to the Maccas and Reds. McLaren's high fuel runs were around 1.44.000-1.44.100 Red Bulls: 1.44.400-1.44.900...

Man, R26 was the monster you're talking about. R25 won the WCC by mere luck, change on the tyre regulation meant that Schummi's Ferrari was fairy cakes as well as McLaren's unreliable package. R26 on the other hand was a REAL MONSTER, I loved that car, it beat the hell out of Ferrari's & McLaren's.
