Re: Official 2013 Abu Dhabi Race thread.

When will they get rid of these Middle East Grand Prix? I cannot remember a memorable one over the last 10 years. A lot of people voted the race at Abu Dhabi last year as the best of the season. Don't remember it at all. I remember the ensuing US GP in Austin, that was a good race. Abu Dhabi was bo...

The pay driver issue is almost a non starter. the pay drivers we have now are far far superior than the ones of the past. Even Chilton who is probably the weakest driver on the grid is good enough to look decent in the leading feeder series. Plenty of teams have run 2 pay drivers in the past and ve...

Sebastian will just play with Mark, keeping a gap of 2-3 seconds. As soon as Mark pits Sebastian will pounce, put in a couple of hot laps then pit and take the lead of the race. This is presuming Mark leads by the first corner. This sounds more likely to me too... Mark is not going to let Seb by ea...

Did anyone realize Vettel was ranting in the car after he crossed the line? No, I missed that - what did he say? Well not that i heard anything also. I think he was furious from his gestures in his cockpit. And also, Horner doesnt seem to sound motivated when Webber steals pole. I think he ran wide...

He went too much over the curb in one of the final corners. Every driver had four wheels off track at some point in Quali. No point giving out penalties to the entire grid because nothing would change. I see reprimands being handed out a far more likely possibility. I was not talking about penaltie...

Would McLaren Consider Massa Instead Of Perez?

McLaren seem to struggle a lot with the suspension of the car. Ferrari have taken bold steps in this in the last few years, and had reasonable success (more than McLaren have had). Perhaps Massa would make a good option for McLaren to develop their car in this area? They have struggled to make it wo...

Nico is definitely stronger than Jenson, he has straight up beaten Lewis more times in 2/3s of a season than Jenson did in 3 seasons. For me, to leave Benneton and come to Ferrari for the challenge and do far better than anyone could have imagined is remarkable. The article also misses another point. What's been unusual about 2013 and to a lesser extent 2011 is Webber's complete inability to beat Vettel ever, at all. When Barrichello and Schumacher were teammates it was different. Barrichello would beat Schumacher every so often, including quite a few times...
