Re: Rosberg 14 vs Rosberg 15, better?
They've been team mates 3 yrs. Hamilton has won ever season. In that time Hamilton has won 2 world championships at the moment there is no doubt who the favourite is.
I'm sure that is probably reflected by the bookies.

Re: 2016 Pre Season Testing
My only hope is that Mercs aren't dominant. If we could have just two very evenly matched teams it'll make for a much better season. Even as a Hamilton fan him tying the title up with races to spare isn't the spectacle I want to see. Hopefully the McHonda improves and Red Bull can bring some fight t...

Even if he'd one stopped he would have been caught Nico was 1.5s faster than him with a 12 sec gap and 14 laps to go.

Re: 2015 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Qualifying thread
It depends. If you want to assume that then that's your perogative. But Lewis fans have and always will say adaptability is part of being a driver. Making excuses is poor form. Kimi/Vettel/Button have all used this excuse before whereas the greats generally find a way to make each car work for them....

They'd call off the game for a stoppage that last 45 minutes with 5 seconds left a game is deemed complete after 66 minutes or 75 depending on the competition. There aren't voices in my head I'm a qualified ref and find your statements quite rude when I'm trying to help you. There is no rule written...

Re: The Official NICO ROSBERG thread
I'm asking you whether you think Rosberg is poor at adapting and it's taking this long for him to get a car he's just as suited too as Hamilton is.
I don't think it's anything to do with the car. I think Rosberg it's simply out performing Hamilton at the moment.

The time was added on because the crowd entered the pitch of play. A very rare occasion.

They generally don't actually add on time in added time which is why you'll see teams wait and make subs to kill time in added time.
Also the time shown isn't the amount of time to be played. It's the minimum amount of time to be played.

So what you're suggesting is for the last 3 years the cars suited Hamilton more but for the last 5 races Rosberg.
Nothing to do with the pressure being off and Hamilton already tied up the title?

No one has said Hamilton is that much better than anyone else. He's better than Rosberg that's evident by the last 3 yrs.
Rosberg made mistake after mistake prior to Hamilton tying the title up. Excuses are easy to make admitting Hamilton the better driver appears difficult.

A team is allowed to take a quick free kick if there is communication made with the ref just a glancing nod or the ref is told prior to the match it is something they have planned.

Re: The Official Football Thread
There was 5 mins added on. However the ref added on another 3 minutes because of he Everton fans storming the pitch.
For a goal there is 1 minute added on. For a sub there is 30 seconds added on.
The biggest rule in football I would change is change it to a game of 60 mins and have a stop clock.

Re: The Official NICO ROSBERG thread
I think a lot more would be given to this run of form if the title wasn't tied up. We'll start comparing them again in Australia in 4 months time. Rosbergs on a great run but it means nothing doing it once the title is over. I suppose the bigger question is why couldn't Rosberg do this before the pr...

If you bang up a footballer for ABH you're opening a whole can of worms. Especially when it's in a tackle. The Thatcher vs Mendes incident certainly should have gone to court. But where do you draw the line in sport? Say Prost had been injured in the Senna vs Prost 'if you no longer go for a gap' in...

What's the overall score in Quali now over the 3 seasons?
According to one website it's 30-26 Lewis. These two are very evenly matched over one lap.

Hulk has had some stellar drives. Defensively he's brilliant and I'm sure Alonso would attest to that. There was a period of time when they kept being together on track which gave us some excellent races. He's also got his pole at Brazil. His junior record speaks for itself and he's a Le Mans winner.

Alonsos 2012 was an amazing season. That car shouldn't have been in the championship reckoning in how many weekends did he have the best car?
He's not the best qualifier out there we know that but when it comes to race day there aren't many better. If any and 2012 was him at the peak of his powers.

Maybe I still had the last race in my mind a bit but Perez was absolutely dreadful in Brazil. He's one of my favourite drivers on the grid so probably a bit more harsh on him that I would be others. I want and expect better from him and it's frustrating seeing such fluctuating performances. I wasn't...

Oh I agree he's going all out to win the races as far as he's concerned. And he certainly won't be happy not winning as was evident in Brazil when he was begging for a different strategy and trying to calculate a way he could steal the win. Just that there may be something missing he isn't aware of....

I can't see it. Lewis will go in to next season with the mindset of I'm champion. Not Rosberg won 'x' amount of races towards the end of last season. I think it would cause Lewis more worry next season if Rosberg takes the pole and win in Australia than anything that can/has happened this season. Du...

Sometimes I'd agree. But others it just makes no sense. I can't remember which race it was now where I was screaming at the TV to get Perez in.. You don't think it could indicate that a driver has had very good team mates throughout his career?
If scoring a win when your team mate failed to is an indicative stat how about failing to score a win when your team mate does manage too?

Vettel could have had the same record. Nope. No way he was going to win anything in that 2007 STRF or his first and only race in the Beemer. The only "stat" up for grabs for those who started off in backmarkers is winning in a car that doesn't finish in the top 5 of the WCC - so Vettel and others h...
