Re: Mercedes vs Red Bull - 2021
Oh I don't mean everyone because there would have been stacking but he'd have still ended up 9-12th He wouldn't. Again, look at Alpine as an example. Ocon came out ahead of both Alfa's and Haas who were behind him in the pits. A drop of position was a possibility but with a decent pitstop unlikely....

Re: Mercedes vs Red Bull - 2021
All those excuses in baku seem a bit much for Hamilton really. I know you are prepared for people to disagree though. It hasn't happened before because he, rosberg and Bottas had obviously not found this "design flaw" a problem. I don't really see how this single example excuses hamilton more than ...

Re: Who will win the Championships?
It was all about the floor changes which only effected low rake cars. Mercedes lost a chunk of time due to this and I do think it was done on purpose. Was it obvious at the time it would affect low rake cars only (or more than high rake)? If so, I don’t understand why Mercedes/Aston voted for the c...

Re: Who will win the Championships?
Looking like voting is swinging convincingly to Verstappen & Red Bull. Hamilton has been extracting the maximum from his car & clinging on in races with his fingernails. Perez is extracting more from his Red Bull than Bottas does from Mercedes. Given the relative closeness still, you've still got t...

Re: Unpopular Opinions (2021)
I have another potentially unpopular opinion... The Alpha Tauri this year is as competitive as the McLaren and the Ferrari but poor driving, and poor race strategies have caused the team to hemorrhage points. I think at some tracks this is very true. I thought they were 3rd best in bahrain, and bec...

Re: 2021 Mexican Grand Prix Race Thread
Bottas can’t even set a fastest lap. What a joke, he just needed to make space to put in one single lap. Have you not noticed he's hat to pass verstappen, and then let him back through. He came out in an awful position. Did you not notice that he could have just dropped 10 seconds behind anybody an...

Re: 2021 Mexican Grand Prix Race Thread
Has there been a good Mexican Grand Prix since 2015? The ending of 2016 was quite good with Verstappen, Vettel and Ricciardo battling. There was a slightly interesting strategy battle in 2019. But it’s generally pretty dull.

Re: 2021 Mexican Grand Prix Race Thread
Starting to think Red Bull 1-2 results are preferable to a drawn out title battle. I'd been nervous that the points from Belgium could be critical and that would be a disaster for the sport, but Red Bull's performance increasingly looks like making that a non-issue. I think it’s track specific tbh.

I’m not convinced Tsunoda is at fault for messing up Perez and Verstappen’s laps in Q3. I think Tsunoda was fine getting out the way and Perez just made a mistake and after that Verstappen had to back out a bit. Basically, Perez’s fault for me.
