Re: Dismissing the 'Button beat Hamilton on points' saga
I consider Hamilton to be a 'better' driver in that intangible way that we define greatness. But the points don't lie, both guys brought home an almost equal # of points in their 3 years together. Button brought home points when Hamilton was having brain farts and letting outside issues affect his d...

I feel sorry for Paul because he would have won every race in 2012 if his team had given him a much faster car and better strategy. His lazy engineers cost him the championship.

Did he told you that? I don't think so. Man himself is saying his target is to come back, so there must be chance, yet you know better. There is no chance. After several years of recouperation and operations, he still has basically no use of his right hand. The elbow is stiff and the hand/fingers c...

Re: R.Kubica testing in a Merc...
Just this past race, SkyF1 had Johnny Herbert in Merc's simulator. Not sure how long he got in it (given they mentioned Anthony Davidson was there all day, I doubt it was more than 30 minutes) but yeah... Can you read? I guess not. I said they would not let anybody in for a lark. If they give someo...

Re: R.Kubica testing in a Merc...
F1 sim time is presumably quite valuable to the team. They are busy doing important stuff related to the development of the current car so they cannot afford to just let someone in the sim for a lark. And for 'several weeks' no less according to the article. I don't know why they would give Kubica s...

Re: Sergio's overtake on Alonso
Sergio's defending and wheel-to-wheel racing has been dodgy this year, many drivers have commented on it. It was a topic of discussion in the drivers meeting this weekend. There are some defined rules (one move etc) and some gentlemens rules and he has been constantly breaking both. He is becoming t...

His defending was very marginal today, he is going to get a penalty if he keeps weaving around under braking. A sign of someone under a lot of pressure.

He doesnt seem to understand that his mechanics in McLaren only pretended to like him while he was there. Men have faster reaction times but that is mostly physical. Stronger muscles can move quicker. In racing it affects for example rapid steering movements.

The car is a complete dog, they are having major issues with ride. Its incredibly stiff up front, with almost no suspension travel, and it is bouncing and oscillating all over the shop. Probably because of his experience, Button has been able to find a more usable setup than Checo. But the car still...

Re: Wtf? Mark Webber to Porsche?
Mark doesnt have a lot of options.
-Stay at Red Bull where he is not happy and clearly #2.
-Move to a lower team where he can have equal status but with a much slower car. Never get another win or even podium.
-Quit F1
Unfortunately no other top team wants him or needs him.

She doesnt even have a super licence. Her role as 'development driver' is basically just a bit of publicity for Williams. At 30 she is too slow and too old to make a F1 debut, even if both Williams drivers broke their legs simultaneously she wouldn't get a drive.

Of course he is number 2. Hamilton is the best chance of winning the WDC or at least placing highly. Brawn has access to years of Rosberg telemetry so he knows Rosbergs strength and weakness better than anyone here. Probably within a few days of testing he could already see that Hamilton was much be...

Nico made sure to push Raikkonen off the track slightly (several laps before the comment), which of course prevents the other driver from coming back. He has the lowest amount of completed laps in 2012. Apart from D'Ambrosio who sat in for him of course.
Meanwhile his teammate has the most. Is this the first time in F1 history this has happened? (if you exclude fill-in drivers etc.)
