Re: 2021 Engine Proposals announced
It would also stop all this "Sauber and Haas running year old Ferrari engines" - no Ferrari and Mercedes have to supply teams with equal engines. Wasn't there a little more to this? I though some of the issues were the new engines not fitting into the bodywork. Who is to say a smaller team doesn't ...

Re: 2021 Engine Proposals announced
Pretty disappointed they're getting rid of the MGU-H. Seems pushing tech comes second to 'DA NOIZE!!!!11!' I think that's a bit simplistic. They're getting rid of the MGU-H for cost and complexity reasons, not because they are anti-tech. At the same time, they are trying to address the noise issue ...

Re: 2021 Engine Proposals announced
The end of your 2nd sentence is the nail on the head, it's more efficient to do it that way hence the lower revs. I guess what they are really proposing is moving that efficiency vs performance curve up the scale to the point where you get the best bang for your buck(revs). Currently the rules say ...

I like Kubica as a person, but I never quite bought into the hype. One attrition based win and a minimal margin over Heideld wasnt enough to convince me. I know the other drivers rate him, but I also remember Fisichella being viewed in the same way.. Di Resta, again, nice enough guy, had a shot but...

Re: Max is Out-Performing Daniel (Believe it or Not)
My feeling is we'd have seen more races like this without all the bad luck Max has been having. Do you mean wins or just being quicker than Ricciardo? Not sure about the former but the latter is likely. Ricciardo had a broken bargeboard, but I don't think it hindered him much if at all. By the time...

These engines are by no means embarrassing, they produce more power to the wheels than anything before them. Going to have to play devil's advocate here: this isn't really true... There was a time when F1 engines produced up to 1500HP. In qualifying trim, but still. Not that I doubt the current eng...

i was thinking about this the other day. imo f1 would be better without the current version of the fia. lets get back to treating it like a sport, not a safety campaign and an aid to develop the technology of the future, at the detriment of entertainment. how long before the fia tries to convert f1...

No one thinks Ricciardo's 2016 was comparable to 2014? Beating Vettel was big, but it's now pretty clear that was an off year for Vettel, and not part of a trend. The white lines should be treated as they are in every other sport. The line is the bloody line. No ambiguity, no 'oh well they don't gain an advantage doing it there', if you have 4 wheels on the wrong side, there needs to be a warning/penalty system. No matter where.

This looks to me as one of the worst decisions in strings of bad decisions Alonso made. Monaco could be the one of the precious few real chances for Mclaren to score well. Beating the 2004 cars over one lap has been happening for years already, in 2011, 2012, absolutely in 2016.
