Re: The Official Kimi Räikkonen thread
While it's not ideal to have missed Q3, Kimi will start 11th due to Kvyat's ICE change and grid penalty. Furthermore, I'm not sure he would have qualified better than 9th had he made it anyway. He can start on the medium compound and perhaps he'll make a one-stop race work for some good points. But ...

Happily blows through money that might better be used to alleviate the plight of his country. He of course thinks all is swell I'm sure. Sutil - I cannot believe this jerkoff i...

I certainly hope Haas goes through with this. As an American, I'm a tad biased by the prospect of an American team, but I don't think enthusiasm should be tempered by the experiences of the backmarkers the last few seasons. Personally, Haas has the money, experience, and infrastructure already in pl...

Re: Does anybody have any shares in Williams?
Assuming you didn't buy these a kind of a joke, I'd hang on to them at least for the first few races. The Renault cars are going to be on the back foot for at least a few races and I'd imagine a points finish in Melbourne would ensure the price doesn't fall. If one of those cars finishes in the top ...

With a putative grand prix probably not happening until 2016, I'll bet Bernie will have lost job by then. Frankly I think this is just more typical Bernie bullshit. He'd sooner hold a new race in North Korea than in a location where the fans will want to show up. At the least he could count on a pac...

Considering new sponsors Martini, Petrobras, Genworth, and Banco do Brasil, they should have the funds for a few seasons to right the ship. Ferrari won't be putting out a lousy car I don't think. They introduced new wings on the last day and I'm pretty sure it wasn't magic that Alonso went 1.2s quicker than Kimi's best time from the previous day.

This has to be one of the bigger misnomers is F1. Why would any team think they can lull the 10 other teams into complacency? It's one thing to maybe hide some gizmo you think will gun down the grid but it's going to be quite useless without any testing. People keep referencing Ferrari as "hiding" t...

At this point I'd say there are more reasons to think the FW36 will be a strong car than not. Pretty impressed with Felipe Nasr on the last day. Raikkonen
Grosjean
Hulkenberg
Hamilton
Rosberg
Ricciardo
Bianchi
Bottas

I've yet to see evidence that it's getting more popular because of broadcast on NBC Sports. I wish I had a good answer. As an American, probably 98% of any motorsport in the media or news is NASCAR related; it's almost mindblowing at times how popular it is. This won't change anything; it doesn't even remotely address the issue related to Webber's incident. Instead of implementing a pointless reduction in pit speed, they should simply make it a penalty to release a car before each wheel is attached. I'm not sure what the penalty should be since this oft...

It all depends on what happens with the tops teams, meaning his destination will probably be heavily dictated by who replaces Webber at Red Bull. If Kimi replaces Webber, I'd say it's almost certain he goes to Lotus; that of course is no certain sequence of events. If Massa leaves Ferrari, then he w...
