Re: Grid Girl ban - forum poll [MERGED]
I am glad that we are finally ushering in an era where we can pretend that women's bodies do not exist. It's also good to see that all the grid girls who liked their jobs got put out of their misery. Serves them right for thinking they knew what was good for them. Its 2018 and we live in an enlighte...

Re: Women's only series proposed
I think it's a good idea to have a women's racing series. Or several of them at diffent tiers. It varies across different sports how well women's variants do, WNBA being an obvious example of failure, and tennis a definite success. There are essentially no sports where a mixed series has ever succee...

Haas would do well to replace Ro-Gro. It's not just the spins (which seem to happen every race weekend), it's the negativity that he seems to exude from his pores. This guy is such a downer in terms of his words and demeanor. I think Haas can do better; regardless of their rationale for hiring him....

Re: Drivers who have improved their pace during their career
There are two different ways that the topic question can be interpreted. One is whether a driver can improve in pace relative to other drivers and his own potential, and the other is whether natural pace can be enhanced over time. The answer to the former is 'yes', to the latter - 'no'. First and se...

Re: Hamilton and Vettel team mates.
Hamilton is the more talented driver, but I think the difference between them would be quite small. Probably smaller than in the case of Rosberg. Vettel could probably come out on top some seasons due to work rate and determination, but on top form I would expect Hamilton to edge out.

Hamilton is slicing through the field. There were a couple of hairy moments where he lost the front end grip though. Mercedes really needs to be up front to dominate.

Obviously FOM favours Ferrari. They are biggest brand and pull in more fans and money and track owners than anyone else. Period. But FIA hasn't shown any Ferrari favoritism in long long time. And Ferrari themselves hasn't demanded any. They demand they get financial returns for the money and fans t...

Verstappen, Magnussen and Hamilton, in that order. Max was pretty great today, good start, dusted his team mate off and then hunted Hamilton down to the line. Magnussen's pass on Massa alone gets him a vote for me, it was brave and it was needed, especially with Grosjean on the blower behind him as...

You never know Lewis might spring a surprise reirement at end of season. Hamilton is the best of this generation as long as we assume that Max is already to be counted among the next generation. Otherwise it's getting too close to call. Max is the biggest talent to come into the sport since Hamilton's rookie season.

I think spatial awareness is definitely a Vettel weakness. Found this clip by accident when watching Perez's joke to his engineer that his engine had failed on the last lap in Suzuka 2011. Vettel turns in on Schumacher oblivious that he is there and MS has to run the kerb to avoid him. https://www....

From this angle ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZ80ZLmhoFs ), it looks like Stroll was going to go offline to pick-up marbles and also possibly giving way to the McLaren behind him. Apparently he did not see that Vettel also came up behind him and was in the process of overtaking. What a brain c...

Re: vettel/stroll. what the he'll happened there.
Different situation so your comparison is not valid. There simply is no need to overtake on the cool down lap. Professional drivers should be more and not less alert than any average driver. If it's a different situation, then it's even worse for Stroll. There is nothing in the rules about not over...

One Red Bull will beat Vettel by splitting there strategies, they are happy to do it and Vettel can't cover both of them. If they can hold 2-3 on the first lap they have a very good chance. The position of Bottas is irrelevant, the gap is everything in any team mate duel. Same car, that is the only accurate barometer you can have for him.
