Re: Has Kimi had his time?

Kimi has shown some signs of life this year, Monaco qualifying being a prime example, but he is off the pace of the front runners on a fairly regular basis. I don't foresee any miraculous turn around happening, even though I would be very happy to be proven wrong.

Re: Bottas Jumping The Start

Every driver has the same tolerances available to their advantage. It worked perfectly for Bottas today, be it by accident or by skill. A split second earlier and he would be punished for it. It's being over analysed. We are literally dealing with blink of the eye margins here. The fact that it was...

Re: Hamilton vs Bottas, adjusted for Luck

It's still too early to tell how Bottas will stack up. He is definitely not a doormat like Kovalainen and he already seems to be approximately at Rosberg's level in relation to Lewis. He can match or beat Hamilton at times, but he is still generally slower on an average day. There is some indication...

Re: Bottas Jumping The Start

I think Bottas got lucky here. He was within the tolerance limits so the start was legal, but it didn't look like he waited for the lights to go out. It was a timely finger twitch. Even the FIA described the start as "fortuitous".

Human reaction time is 0.1s, Bottas was 0.2s so he's fine, meanwhile Hamilton gets too close to the car in front and his brakes start to overheat, marvelous. I thought he jumped it and said so watching it live. I'm a Bottas fan so I hope he didn't. On the replay, it just looked like a perfect start. Fingers crossed. I can't believe that the FIA will call that a jumped start. If it is, it's micro seconds and so no real advantage. It's black or white with...

Re: FIA to investigate Vettel/Hamilton clash

Seb ACCELERATES, relative to the car in front. This can be show by calculating the ∆V of the two moving bodies. Clearly, based on the telemetry, the rate at which the gap is closing increases with time. Change in the rate of change of an object's velocity is acceleration. It can be positive or nega...

My contention is that it's not accurate to say that Kimi didn't show up in all but 1 or 2 races. He had terrible luck that year whereas Massa was mostly making his own mistakes. Canada has not been mentioned yet where Kimi was in contention for a win as he was exiting pits side by side with Kubica ...

Possibly. Or perhaps trying to save face. I interpret the reprimand for the leader behind the SC as an indication Vettel didn't cause the accident on his own. And that is significant, in my view.
