I can't help but think that they have massively underperformed (as a team). Surely 6th and 8th in the WDC is not good enough for the second best car? :proud: I have been thinking this for a while now. OK I stand corrected, so can Renault and Ferrari play catch up or is the fundamental design a handicap, just seems to me that with POWER UNITS dominating this season we could have more 'intra team' racing as opposed to 'inter team' racing. Not much of an exaggeration when Alonso has kept the team ahead of McLaren and FI. There are more than two persons working at Ferrari. ...

Re: 2014 USGP Race thread
Looks to me like Rosberg has the edge this weekend. Hamilton has been struggling with the brakes and I don't see that magically resolving itself overnight with the car in parc fermé. Hamilton will also be starting the race on flat-spotted tyres. Rosberg for the win I feel. Should close the champion...

Re: Will quali be 18, 14, 10?
IMO, 3 segments of qualifying (Q1, Q2, Q3) are too many for just 18 cars (or 17 should Vettel really decides not to participate). if the qualifying format could be altered for the remaining 3 races, I'd like to see: Q1 - 20 minutes - 10 fastest drivers go to Q2 Q2 - 15 minutes that's it, just Q1 & ...

You started well, then you went wrong... I'd rather put the starting grid in REVERSE of the finishing position in the last race. This way every race would be an overtake fest, and a great show, 100% guaranteed. You nearly got it right... The Saturday race to be 45min sprint race with the grid a rev...

I had a thought regarding the engine freeze limitation. Between 2014 and 2015 teams are allowed to change the design of their engines, but not completely reinvent them. Each component has a number of points, and if they change that component they use up those points - and they are only allowed a li...
