Re: Opening Round
For me, I think I'd prefer to have the opening race take place on a track that, generally, doesn't provide entertaining races. Part of the fun of the opening race is that it is the first race of the season, so I'm more likely to enjoy it even if the race isn't particularly great . Now I'm not sayin...

Re: McLaren, Honda, 2018
I think they will be. Honda are bound to get it right at some point. I'm not talking about being the dominant force but you know, respectable and competitive relative to the top dogs. There's unlimited development throughout the season so there's a glimmer of hope for 2018. But yea, it's pretty dire...

I'm with Scott on this one. I don't think pointing the finger in their already fragile relationship is the right thing to do. The leaderships' job is to at least provide the sense of unity and stability to the media. Just say "Yes, Honda had few technical issues which were to be expected, however th...

Re: Is Kimi Raikkonnen the dark horse for 2017?
I doubt it. In my opinion, Kimi has been past it for quite some time now. Not to mention he's been having not-so-great luck often when he's having a good race. And he's been incredibly consistent in qualifying, sadly for him and Ferrari fans like me - not the good way of consistent. And if Ferrari a...

Re: Which teams will win in 2017?
In terms of pace maybe, although when required the Mercedes could still lap far quicker than any other car on the grid so not necessarily. In actual real terms though they did get MORE dominant. In 2014 Mercedes won 84% of the races, in 2016 they won 91% of the races. Even if outright pace advantag...

Re: Which teams will win in 2017?
Voted for what I hope will happen (Mercedes, RBR, Ferrari) but if I'm perfectly honest I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's another Mercedes white wash, they've become MORE dominant season on season, not less. That's not true. 2014 was by far their most dominant and in terms of sheer pace advanta...

Re: Hypothetical Abu Dhabi situation
Hamilton doesn't need to pull a big gap in this scenario, he needs to race this one smart if he gets in a position to influence things. It has happened a few times where he has nearly lost out when they have tried to get Nico up to P2 - lets not forgot Austria this year as the prime example. If Lew...

VDV23 I think rosberg would give both of those drivers a run for their money. This coming from a hamilton fan, i happen to think rosberg is underestimated by most people. Palmer has been crap so Renault retaining them is a bit of strange one but if you actually in depth he hasn't been that bad. Still bad but not that bad. Still bad, though. The 107% is there as a guideline to gauge if a car is so off the pace that it becomes a hazard. Alonso (in FP2 & FP3) and Button have consistently proved that the McLaren can get within 107%. Hamilton has been massively disrespected by his own team today. They handed Rosberg the lead and he's now on the harder and slower compound to end the race. Gutierrez, never rated them and I don't think he's anything special. Palmer looks a bit out of his depth. Nasr, he's been very petulant and frankly, slower than Ericsson. That's it from me. Riccardo, Rosberg and Kvyat (in that order for me).
Vettel was good but he was quite clumsy, I'd put the blame entirely on him for wiping out Kimi at the start. And then he damaged his FW again.
