Re: Who will win between Vettel and Raikkonen?
My honest congratulations to Mas and Sandman for being right! Still, the vast majority did not expect Ricciardo to stand any chance against Vettel. That was what I was referring to. Yeah I ran a poll and it was a landslide in favour of Vettel if not even a whitewash? Nah wasn't a whitewash I think ...

Re: Who will end their career with the most wins?
Please explain this. You'll never get a satisfactory answer from Need4Naiim. The man seems to live in a different reality to everybody else. It's pretty obvious he's backing McLaren-Honda to become the best car at Hungary/Belgium this year and Mercedes will shrink into obscurity until Fernando reti...

Re: Smedley: Massa is driving at his best-ever level
The other two not much to add, other than that Massa again had a good race in Monaco, irrespective of Alonso's own. And he beat Alonso fair and square in Turkey, too, while we know that he was leading in Germany and there's no reason to suspect that Alonso would have been able to take him without t...

Re: Who will end their career with the most wins?
I expect Fernando to reach 53 wins, Jenson to reach 29, Hamilton to reach 40. I do not have a guess about Vettel&Raikkonen as of now. Please explain this. What makes you think Hamilton will win another 4 races. Alonso will win another 21 and Jenson another 14. To put that in to context you expect J...

Barrichelo would out perform Schumacher over a race. He certainly couldn't over a season though.
There is absolutely no evidence to support your claim Massa could beat Alonso over a season.

It happened on more than one occassion in a season it certainly didn't happen over a season. Not even close. But I suppose the car just didn't suit Massa.

I would agree with you BlackFlag if 2014 was the anomaly but it isn't. In all these comparisons the anomaly is 2007 because we have 6 yrs data of Massa/Kimi and Massa/Alonso. What we got in 2014 was to be expected.

The good thing for them is that Merc/Ferrari are generally occupying the top 4 spots they have had a really poor start of the season yes. I do also agree with you that the TP will say what he wants the public to hear. It's not a big deal but if someone says they are 99.8% sure of something you're going to question it when the evidence from the team principal says it's more than likely a greater than .2% of a chance they are wrong. I have no opinion on this specific matter but a team principal will tell the media...

You think Badoers pace was representative of the Ferraris real pace? What you've done here in one is made it clear why people think the Ferrari of 07/08 was better than the McLaren. A driver of Badoers ability couldn't put the car where Kimi could. But last season and the 3 seasons before that a dri...

That's a difficult one. You'd think Schumacher is out of reach but then when you break it down. Hamilton could easily on present form be on 52 come the end of this season. Leaving him 4/5 yrs in a (I'm assuming) lesser car to rack up 16 polls.

Do you really think is Alonso was available to a team like Williams they would prefer to have Massa?
Massa is a good driver. Kimi is a good driver. Alonso is a fantastic driver.
If Alonso wanted to be at Ferrari this year he would be.

Okay. In yesterday's situation you could see Seb was holding up Kimi but in doing so Seb was helping his chances of beating Kimi so let them fight. Would Hamilton have destroyed Coulthard like Hakkinen did? Without a doubt imo. I find Hakkinen to be the most over rated multi WDC ever.
I actually think he would have put Coulthard a lot more in the shade.

Just because I pointed out that Kimi would have won if he wasn't held up doesn't mean I think Seb should have moved over and let him pass.
Last year at Hungary Rosberg would have won the race had Hamilton let him pass. I still think Hamilton was right not to do so.

And whilst interesting I think stats can be very misleading too. I believe Hamilton won 11 last season and 3 so far this season. That's 14 wins meaning prior to 2014 he had won 22 races. It's very feasible he could win another 8 races this season. Meaning he has won 22 races in 2 seasons as much as ...

Zoue. The OP said he created this statistical analysis to compare Hamilton to others which is why he chose 152 as oppose to 143 for Seb. It's not really tenuous.
Either way the fact remains Lewis is the last driver to win the WDC when not in the WCC winning car.
