Re: F1 is boring
There is not much racing going on in F1. Instead of 1st & 2nd separated by a few tenths of seconds, Bottas had almost a half minute cushion. He could of stopped in the pits and had a brew and still won! There wasn't much going on in the mid-field either. As it is, the best passing takes place in th...

I love Button, always have. His personality is probably the closest to Ric we can get. He jokes a lot and isn't afraid of being honest. Sky just got much better with him joining. And his relationship with the likes of Martin is good too.

Re: The Official Lewis Hamilton thread
A lucky win, he is turning into Schumacher circa 2001-2004 even when he doesn’t have the pace he is still winning races. It reminded me of Schumachers win in France in 2002 when Kimi should have won but spun on oil from a freshly blown engine in front of him. 72 wins, he needs 20 more. The only rea...

Re: Vettel shooting himself in the foot
Thing is, Hamilton clearly made the difference because if we agree that both Ferrari and Mercedes had a equally dominant/strong car for the season then what Vettel is essentially saying is that he couldn't make the difference, whereas Hamilton could - hence shooting himself in the foot. I think thi...

I thought Vettel was very good in 2017. Overall that is a bit concerning in that he hasn't consistently produced the performance one might expect. He made two mistakes in a single race. It surprises me a bit that Hamilton only has 40 fastest laps (out of 224 races, 18%) but I guess that's partly down to the fact that the best way to get a fastest lap now is to be on the softest tyre towards the end of the race.
