Horner on the changes for next year: "The regulations have been rushed through, a lot of them are in conflict with existing regulations, so there's going to be a meeting on Sunday to tidy it up, whether that's achievable or not. For me the biggest issue on sunday was the low loader on the track whilst the cars will still going round. Granted, at lower speeds, but they can still go off (As Grosjean fantastically demonstrated) Have they learned nothing?? There should be zero chance of an F1 car and that truck coming into con...

"when, and to where, will the Ricciardo move take place?" How is that not the same topic? These 2 threads should be merged. There's a Silly Season 2019 as well. Yeah i've no drama merging this with the other Ric thread. I did forget about that one and only quickly scanned the first page so must hav...

Ricciardo 2019 contract. Where will he end up?
So with a lot of talk revolving around Ricciardo's contract, or at the moment lack of, for next year, and a lot of it finding it's way into a few threads, I thought I start a thread and a poll dedicated to the topic. So, where will Ric be in 2019? My opinion ? As the cards lie at the moment? I can s...

I can suggest a couple of races in the middle east plus one or two more that I'd prefer to see gone before they look at Baku. There's only two races in the Middle East, and one of them is almost always good. Cut Abu Dhabi if you want, but you'd have a hard time replacing Bahrain with an equally goo...

And while this is great news, I think they need to revisit the layout from the early 2000’s because it was much better than this proposed square layout. Eh, I like the squares. Maybe a bit tin foil hat but I wonder how close Verstappen is to a race ban and was Ricciardo instructed to take some of the heat, or maybe he did it of his own volition, in order to mitigate the risk of Verstappen copping that ban. I couldn't help but wonder about that myself. If so, it tells Ricc...

By the way, why did Verstappen got away with deliberately short-cutting the track? Letting Sainz go ahead for a split second was not seriously viewed to be handing a place, was it? What if the team mates are the main, or the only for that matter, contenders for the WDC?
Think Hamilton / Rosberg, Prost / Senna, Mansell / Piquet. Can you imagine any of those 6 saying "After you my good man",when approaching a corner side by side with the championship on the line?

Whilst I dont think you can hold Baku up as a race that they get a bit frivelous with the use of safety cars, I certainly wonder if it's going to be a temptation on some of the more.... sedate tracks, to throw VSC/SC for an incident that might not completely need it just to spice it up a bit. So the question is when do RB and other teams start to look towards Verstappen as perhaps as much or more of a liability as an asset?
Verstappen caused 2 collisions with his team mate today, one could have ended either one or both their races, the other did.
