Re: COVID responses of different countries.

I'll ask you what I've asked others with no reply Others have replied. I wrote you a carefully thought out takedown of the paper you linked to, and your response was to move the goalposts. Banana Man answered that question in the same vein I would have. You don't bother discussing things where you'...

Re: COVID responses of different countries.

There are numerous scientist that spent decades studying coronavirus. But you'd choose to ignore them and think your 18 months of YouTube tutorials matches their knowledge on the subject. And this is why the forum shouldn't allow it to be discussed. Because you end up with one deluded soul thinking...

Hows this for an Appeal to Authority. 100 UK medics write a letter to the government about how dodgy the narrative has been. How do you know that? What measuring facilities do you have available to you to make that determination? You haven't answered my question though. Why measure within 28 days? Were Ebola deaths measured within 28 days of a positive test? No it wasn't. Was the 2009 swine flu deaths measured within 28 ...

I'm not sure rainguards is a solution. They will put back on the track the water that is currently evacuated by the tyres. Which, if visibility is the barrier that is hit before the loss of traction, isn't as bad as the alternative. My point is that, if tyres and aero remain what they are (and lot ...

One more thing before I go off traveling, the tone about scientists is as though scientists are something ethereal, almost special in a way that you and I can't comprehend. This is false. They were saying it was the lack of visibility, the grip level was fine enough. So what about teams must come in and install water guards over the tyres in a wet race. Checo weirdly has the same gap in qualifying to Max these days as he did at the start of the season. It should have closed up somewhat. My guess is that he has untapped lap time yet to be unlocked, but he should have unlocked it by now, I'm sure he's trying his best but pull your finger out Checo!

Re: Drivers not having the same cars - is this fair compared to other sports?

I agree with Exidiron that F1 is a contest between car makers. The reason team order episodes are controversial is because F1 has both a constructors and drivers championship which creates conflicts of interest. If teams fielded Stigs with plain helmets then the constructors contest would be clearer...

Technnically, this thread does go against our policy on COVID discussion. I studied a lot about Kimi Vs JPM and came to the conclusion that Kimi was never that special after all. JPM was carrying his shoulder injury until at least the end of 2005 if not into 2006. Martin Brundle spotted JPM wearing protective gear on his shoulder in one of the final races of 2005 (https:/...

Like in 2006, the guy playing catch up has to take more risks than the guy cruising in the lead. We won't get a like for like comparison until they're back on equal points with close to identical qualifying times.

To me, being heavier to the detriment of lap times is the same as not being good enough. I know that sounds harsh but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Nobody would say a midget is as good a basketball player "if only" they were 7ft tall. They're not, so the actual 7 footer is better.
