Re: 2017 Brazilian Grand Prix Race Thread

I mean he was the 5th fastest driver at best. Because of fresh SS he did that on low fuel. Had other 4 pitted as well on fresh SS they all would have gone faster That's like saying Lewis only finished 5th today because, his car was the only one on track set-up for the track conditions and he actual...

Max sets fastest lap ever - breaks Juan Pablo's lap record from 13 years ago. That's why he pitted just to get fastest lap. lol yeah. The fastest lap does not mean anything these days Ferrari much faster than RBR here. Hamilton screwed up an easy win though because of his mistake yesterday. You do ...

Re: 2017 Brazilian Grand Prix Race Thread

Without throwing it away in Q1 Hamilton would have won this easily. His new engine seems to work well and is now only 11 seconds behind Bottas who started on pole. Thanks to the pit lane start he's is also the only car on track that was specifically set-up for the track conditions today, (being in ...

Re: 2017 Brazilian Grand Prix Race Thread

As usual, the award for the weakest, meekest racecraft goes to Bottas. His start was good enough to squeeze Vettel enough so that Vettel would be slow into turn 1, not on the ideal line. Bottas is just a number 2 driver. Bad racecraft, submissive mentality. As the start is basically a "drag-race"; ...

Just in time for Brazil, so hopefully this meant that Williams had the class to let him know that he wasn't in the running for next year before his final home race. Re: Your favourite Formula One seasons are...?

1976 - Niki Lauda and James Hunt - back then following F1 in America was not something many did visually, as F1 races were not shown on TV as they are today live, but mostly on delayed coverage. I still recall Niki's crash that day at the Nürburgring (ABC Wide World of Sports, IIRC - not live) and h...

I'm not sure, as I haven't looked at the replay, but... As I saw it in the race, didn't Ricciardo push Bottas wide? I thought Bottas had every right to come back.
