Re: 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Race Thread
I’ve actually forgotten each incident, is this right? 1) Restart 1. Hamilton overtake Verstappen who tries to overtake around the outside from a car length behind. Failed to complete on track and unsafely rejoined into the path of another car. 2) Restart 2. Verstappen overtakes Hamilton from 2 car ...

Champions usually use these situations as motivation so what may sound like an annoyed Lewis, is actually him motivating himself - he loves racing with a chip on his shoulder.Schumacher forever#1 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 6:03 pmCan Hamilton not blame the world's against him whenever luck doesn't go his way?

What’s clear is that Redbull is pulling away from Merc. It’s gonna be a long summer and I expect to see many front row lockouts after the summer break. Don’t understand why Merc has not upgraded their car all year but I’m sure they have their reasons. Who could have predicted this considering how d...

Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?
Today’s race seemed like an open goal for one of the Red Bull boys to win the race especially since there were no safety cars. It’s becoming more and more clearer with each year that rolls by that Lewis in his prime years has been on another level compared to most of his peers. The question is with ...

He is of course the best. If you win you are. But would he really think he is the best knowing other young guy's would challenge / beat him in different cars? If all the cars he drove were championship cars, it's hard to imagine he will not think he is the best even though the material was the best...

Gutted for Danny Ric not getting the Ferrari Seat - I think he would have been better off staying at Red Bull. Mclaren is a lateral move.

The testing costs could be cut down if similar to Abu Dhabi in-season testing the extra testing days are just an additional day during the GP weekend - either a Thursday (before) or Monday (after) for example. I think the Thursday before would be interesting because the smaller teams would be much c...

Should F1 allow the smaller teams to have more testing days?
I always thought this would be a way to bring more convergence and the teams closer. It could be something as simple as top 3 constructors Merc/Red Bull/Ferrari are banned from in-season testing but the others can have a certain number of days a month. I was just reading Claire Williams's comments t...

Great to see all the teams have a trouble free first day - hopefully that means there will be a lot more convergence this year and closer racing. Merc's upfront looks ominous tho - I think Max will mix it up - He has to - for the sake of entertainment!

6 titles in a row. What a feat from Mercedes!
Lewis played the team game today and didn’t make it hard for Valtteri. Fair play! Wondering if an undercut would have worked today. For some reason they don’t try the undercut with him.
Great defense from Seb at the end!

Maybe FIA needs to come out with stop zones around the track where if the car gets to that point, no VSC or safety car would be needed unless it's still deemed dangerous, for example, a fire, oil, debris etc... I still think ultimately what Seb did cost Leclerc the race. Maybe a SC would of come out...

It's a race that clearly divides opinion. I'm on the fence. The race is clearly a great test of mental fortitude for drivers, and they all say it's the most demanding race of the season. At the same time it can get processional, overtakes lead to bump-a-cars, guaranteed safety cars etc. I could do w...

Solid race for Ferrari - questions about that Vettel undercut - but ultimately without it, I doubt they would have got a 1-2. Seb will quietly settle into the rear-gunner Raikkonen role. He already has in the last two races and I expect it to continue into next season. He's still a greater threat to win races than Raikkonen ever was. The sooner he resigns himself to this role, the sooner his consistency will come back.

I actually like that Red Bull don't mess around with it. This is Formula One - not a feeder series where drivers need to be coached to succeed - only the best drivers should be there.
