Re: Alonso will not race in Australlia
It's not likely that either McLaren driver will be in the championship hunt, so no need to rush the drivers back from injury. In that case, he could take a sabbatical year then. I suspect that not everything is just fine, or otherwise he would not sit out the start of the season in the new car/team...

Re: Alonso will not race in Australlia
Saw this coming as soon as they announced Magnussen would be standing in in the final test. Obviously Alonso suffered a bad concussion, but as a hockey fan, I look at Marc Savard. Savard suffered a grade two concussion in March 2010, recovered enough to come back and play, and then suffered a secon...

Re: Alonso will not race in Australlia
Official statement: http://www.mclaren.com/formula1/inside-the-mtc/fernando-alonso-a-medical-update/ Alonso is reportedly fine but they want to limit the risk of concussion in order to avoid two concussions in a short period of time. I actually said this might happen bearing in mind that the McLare...

Re: Alonso will not race in Australlia
That may have something to do with a head injury that needs resting, also there is no need to rush back to drive a car that is clearly not ready to race.

Re: Massa comments on Fernando, Kimi, Vettel
How does Alonso make his team mates before worse? Vulcan mind control? How about the idea that Alonso makes them look like they perform worse because he smashes them so badly? You don't like that theory much I guess? You asked before for elements to support my points, and I gave you sensible things...

Re: Massa comments on Fernando, Kimi, Vettel
I don't think that is correct. I don't recall Grosjean having to give way to Kimi as the default position. In fact, how often did Grosjean actually challenge him? I don't agree team orders were a significant part of the Lotus campaign I'm surprised you didn't notice well perhaps you could remind me...

Re: Massa comments on Fernando, Kimi, Vettel
you make it sound as though it was a regular thing. But I don't recall it being so. Re: Massa comments on Fernando, Kimi, Vettel
I'm sure most people are happier when they are the beneficiary, but I still don't get the relevance in regard to reputations. As for the lap dog comment, I can only remember a couple of incidents, both when they were on different strategies. I'm not sure that's justified. Well its relevant to the p...

Alonso did not make the strategy call, Webber needed to win the race so gambled, Ferrari panicked I still don't see that answering the question, though. Re: Massa comments on Fernando, Kimi, Vettel
I'm not sure that it did. Grosjean only beat him on track on a handful of occasions and I think Kimi's reputation was still ...

but it does change it to shared blame. The way it's written makes it look as though the failure was completely down to Ferrari, which is not the case It was Ferrari's fault. Losing a place to Button meant he was more exposed to Webber behind him and this triggered Ferrari into covering Webber and betting on Alonso to be able to recover the p...

The first F1 driver I can find that I was older than is Pedry Lamo as far as I can tell, and that would've been the year 1993. Kimi scored only about 1 third of Alonso's points. I agree he should do better than this, at least closer to half. I don't mean that they expected Kimi to be a Schumacher clone, but I do believe they thought they were getting the fastest man in F1 and the status quo would be resumed. But by the end of 2007 it became apparent that Kimi wasn't delivering what they expected of him. Now, I have my own theories on t...
