Another Bill Clinton one: One student turned in the following book report on "My Life" by Bill Clinton and Titanic by James Cameron, with the proposition that they were nearly identical stories! To really annoy me when people spell it 'curb'. I spell it curb. I also spell tires with an I instead of a Y. American is growing more different from English every day, it seems. We also have other ways of naming parts of a car, like trunk and hood instead of boot and bonnet. Not that it means much...

Re: The peril of judging a driver on statistics
You don't need to use a flawed method to measure it. Have we gone this way because we seem to focus so much on driver error these days? Such and such a driver is brilliant... but he makes too many mistakes. Do we somehow think that stats can make sense of that scenario and provide a rounded assessm...

I don't like Hamilton, but I have to admit that he is a tremendous racer and has great overtaking skills. BUT... he's had many collisions and incidents. Alonso is another great overtaker, but not as agressive as Hamilton... As Brundle said, he's an old head on young shoulders. He will overtake when...

What about an open top canopy or windscreen with roll bars at the top? Prevents debris and tyres making contact with the driver and allows the driver to extricate themselves in the event of a fire/emergency. Would give the aerodynamicists a headache though. McLaren. I can't see how anyone can suggest anything else to be honest. Red Bull next, and Lotus looking pretty handy. It's probably been suggested since they have had some large errors and set-backs lately and Button had an off race. I think it will take at least two more races to see the eventual...

Re: Strongest team pairing this year?
RBR's problem with conserving Q2 tires has been their major issue, aside from a slower car in general. That's why the other two team pairs seem better right now. Even that is said with a grain of salt as Lotus has a driver that's brilliant or spun off (one of the two) and McLaren has one that qualif...

Yeah, but even Lotus has had issues. Remember Grosjean shunting the first few races? IMO, no team pair is great this year, and the lower orders shouldn't really be considered unless you want to. Out of the top teams, McLaren maybe has the most potential as a pair to score, with Lotus and Red Bull ri...

Re: Strongest team pairing this year?
I think Sauber is consistent but not amazing. They are both level B drivers. McLaren or Lotus have the best imo. Red Bull being very close. I agree. The only reason why RBR isn't up there yet is this years car isn't fast/consistent enough. Otherwise, McLaren and Lotus definitely have the pairs to b...

I have F1 2011 for PC and like it. It gives a number of set-up options for the cars and tires so you can play around with them. I haven't played much, though, since I only bought a cheap Thrustmaster wheel. It doesn't clamp well. Right now, I'm saving up for a racing seat, and once I get one and pra...

Vettel didn't look quick at any stage of the race, I feel the car didn't suit the track. 6th place was good damage control from Seb, but having the team let him do a final run in Q2 guaranteed he wouldn't be stuck with mid pack cars. Yeah, both should have gotten into Q3. Teach them to sit out and ...

You are correct sir. I am currently investigating the auto conversion of sequential codes to parallel (for the time being CUDA) using AI. I was thinking the other day about how most F1 drivers may be good, but we will never know until/unless they get lucky and are with the right constructor the year the constructor designs a good car. You might try changing the speed of printing. I noticed sometimes when printing with "draft" or "fast" quality instead of "best", it prints too fast to get good color prints. I think those settings are under "preferences". Other than that, the only time I've seen prints like that is when the color i...
