How to make Monaco more exciting?

Viewpoints on the Monaco GP were mixed. While there were a few on this forum who have said they enjoyed the 2018 race and an found it very exciting (happy for them), I think that the general consensus was that the race last weekend was boring. Even some of the drivers have come out and said that it ...

Re: 2018 Monaco Grand Prix Race Thread

Is it me or has Pirelli gone the way of tyre manufacturers in the past...we're back to one stop races where there is not enough of a difference in the tyre compounds for anyone to try and make a race out of it. Think of how exciting this race could have been if the tyre compounds would have forced a...

Re: Who was at fault, Ricciardo or Verstappen? (Baku 2018)

Actually I blame Christian Horner and Red Bull for this one. Those two were going at it all race, but how many times can you trade places without an incident. It should have been over when Ricardo passed before the last pit stop, but then the team allowed Max to undercut Riccardo and set this up. Ri...

Bottas could've had five more laps and he still would have been behind Vettel. No way Mercedes is happy with Bottas right now, he can't get it done when it matters.

Re: 2018 Bahrain Grand Prix Race Thread

With 5 laps to go, Bottas was lapping 134.6, Seb was 135.6, with a three second gap. Bottas should have had DRS for at least two laps. For last two laps, Bottas was lapping 136s, and barely getting DRS. Bottas choked, doesn't know how to pass or doesn't have the killer instinct, or all three. Bottas...

For about $20,000 you can get the name "Lotus" thrown into any F1 name for a couple of seasons at least, so how about "Lotus Force", and they can sport a pink, green and gold livery!!!

Re: Hamilton and Vettel team mates.

Agree that it would depend on the team. Mercedes would insist on putting both drivers on the same strategy with the driver who qualified the fastest getting first pit stop, so a lot would come to qualifying. Ferrari has a No1 and No2 driver hierarchy, so how that plays out would be interesting. Red ...

Re: Vettel / Verstappen / Raikkonen Clash! Who to blame?

Not a smart move from Vettel. He is not racing Max in the championship, and the line he took was not an optimal racing line, by coming over to block Max, even if there was no contact he was leaving the door open for Hamilton and Ricardo. Plus everyone should know by now that Max is never going to yi...

Ferrari "not interested" in Alonso

I don't understand why Sergio Marchionne and Ferrari are "not interested in Alonso". Was it something Alonso did, is it that they have other prospects, or do they think that there will be too much friction between their current No. 1 driver and Alonso? The reason I am confused is that Ferrari took K...

Best part was how he fought tooth and nail against Ocon but left the door open for Vettel. I noticed that too, and that's what bothered me the most during the race. He seemed much more concerned about his own team mate passing him than Vettel. In his post race interview, he said he was trying to st...
