Re: 2017 Pre-Season Testing Thread

This test should be a better indicator of the pecking order because everyone would want to run at the best / fastest in order to refine the parts & be super ready for Melbourne. They often do that on a sector by sector basis, so the total lap times can hide the real pace. Also without knowing fuel ...

Re: Mercedes W08 Unveiled!

It looks impressive. Too early to tell, but speculating, the wheel base seems extremely long. The other teams will be hoping Mercedes has gone too far in this decision and it proves the wrong one. The sidepods are also extremely small, and again, the other teams will be hoping that the very tight pa...

But the premise of modern Formula 1 is "make us a car as fast as possible, but you cannot do the following things" So I'm saying, make us a car as fast as possible, but you cannot put wings on it. Without aero you can't do that Aero doesn't go away because you don't have wings. The whole car has to...

Re: K-Mag predicts better racing in 2017

I'm not against DRS as it's an 'artificial' solution to an 'artificial' problem, the easiest answer would be to remove the wings but that will never happen, so DRS is a decent solution. However, what K-Mag is saying is that the DRS will be more effective than before which makes for better racing......

What really makes this latest dominance even worse for the show when compared to those speed advantages of the 60s is that in modern F1 the cars are also far more reliable and you have fewer race incidents.

That is the story of 2014-2016 between the Mercedes, unless it is Hamilton behind then there is a small chance he will pass somehow.
