Re: Team orders at Merc
If they feel they can not trust them to race then why employ them both? One of them should go rather than using team orders. Who goes? and why? I hate to be Mercedes now because no matter what decision they make there will be people out there that will argue that the wrong decision was made. I thin...

Re: Hamilton vs rosberg. Part 265
Great video on the F1 website. It shows all onboard and multiple angles etc. The best bit starts at 1:56 where it super imposes Rosberg's lap 70 corner vs his lap 71 corner. Totally different lines and clear intention he was more focused on causing an incident than actually making the corner... htt...

really - I remember brundle saying he was going to show a replay of lewis and jenson racing to his son because it was classic and expert racing /overtaking , because it was so good I only remember one incident where they tangled on hindsight, probably it was one time but i think u need to factor in...

Why would RBR throw away a race win for Dan today when Max never had a chance, that makes no sense.
They simply screwed up today. Not the first team to do it and wont be the last.

Couldn't agree more. He is on an unbelievable run of bad luck since last summer. He should be clear 2nd in the Title chase and with the upgraded Renault PU and a strong Red Bull with plenty of tracks left that they are strong at you couldn't have ruled him out of having a sniff at the Title. He mus...

This is the kind of reacton I expected from Alonso.. Intimidation and politics at work. Sure, if standing up for himself and being brutally straightforward to an uncouth commentator is "politics". Herbert was talking as if he was privy to what Alonso feels, how motivated he is, his life, basically....

Re: Sky Sports lands exclusive F1 television coverage in UK
Free to air was never going to last but I still see this as bad news. Without free to air F1 will find it much harder to get casual or new fans.I know a lot of people will say it did not affect football or cricket but kids can play football and cricket and be introduced to those sports that way. The...

Re: F1 on pay-TV only in Spain for the first time EVER
Although it's not good news it is not as extreme as some people seem to think.
Plenty of other sports have been on pay TV for a long time now and it has not killed them off.
Football which is a far bigger sport worldwide is largely pay TV now so it is hardly shocking other sports including F1 follow.

Well what a crazy game that was for the Seahawks.
Abysmal first half but glad they ended up making a game of it.
Disappointed with the result but still enjoyed it and American football is certainly something I will be sticking with.

Fair play to Vettel who isn't joining in with the calls to DSQ Lewis. And he certainly along with Nico would have the most to gain from Lewis being DQ. Yep. Showing class with his comments, IMO. Hamilton's answer on how difficult it is to trust the team when they say push but don't give you a reason actually sounded very contradictory. A DQ is the only thing that is going to keep the championship open and even with it I don't think it will stop Lewis being WDC again. Conversion rates of current drivers (since 2005) winning WDC when the team won the WCC: Alonso: 2/2 (2005,2006) Raikkonen: 1/2 (2007,2008) Massa: 0/2 (2007,2008) Button: 1/1 (2009) Vettel: 4/4 (2010-2013) Hamilton: 1/1 (2014) These can obviously be distorted based on how you view 2007, I would argu...

It was a wrong call by Mercedes, but you can't blame them too much like Ted Kravitz is. The put stop gap was there in sector two, just when the safety car appeared in front of Hamilton he could not maintain that gap. Pitting him in the first place you can understand. Vettel said himself it would ha...
