Re: Rosberg's ability (or lack of) on Race Day
Given Rosbergs attention to detail I don't see it as a matter of 'just copy Lewis'. Maybe he doesnt possess the skills to just copy? . Exactly! Rosberg doesn't possess the needed defending/overtaking skills once it comes to the sister car. He has to copy from the nearest driver. Guess who he is. :-...

Re: Rosberg's ability (or lack of) on Race Day
Rosberg has been studying where he can improve. I don't think breathing is the answer. Lewis used less fuel. Rosberg would benefit from figuring out how to use less fuel, then he can have a lighter car. Hamilton always forced Rosberg to have to try and overtake him on the outside, then if necessary...

There's a HUGE difference between 'best driver last season' and 'best current driver' - otherwise Lewis would have been written off at the end of '11 in the same way as Seb has been at the end of '14. At the end of the day it means little - except neither of them are likely to make the top 5 GOATS ...

Re: Rosberg's ability (or lack of) on Race Day
I've been of the mind that Hamilton was setting up his car for the race, not qualifying for the 2nd half of the year (similar to Prost in 88). I think Hamilton realized that if he set up his car for qualifying he was 50-50 (unlike Prost in 88 who had almost no chance of pole under any circumstances...

Honestly, I can understand why Mercedes, Force India, and even Williams to some extent, retained their current drivers. How much is down to the team/car in GP2 anyway? I've been watching for a year or two, but it seems like it might be a lot? I think Mansell was also severely underrated. He wasn't nicknamed "il leone" for nothing and was a fighter. He was quite similar to Hamilton in his flamboyant style. In his year with Prost he suffered much more reliability issues (in much the same way as Lauda did) but he was often very, very quick...

You only consider 2 situations: 1. The car perfectly suits the drivers 2. The car does not suit the drivers at all. I think Seb’s relationship with the team broke down after Malaysia 2013. I am still convinced that Dietrich hoped to get a championship for Mark before he retired but Seb blew the doors off that. It's obvious hyperbole (the same post described him as having been 'butchered' after all) but he wasn't a top driver. Mansell himself - and presumably by extension Piquet, whom he pretty much matched - was a definite cut below the top tier of his era, which was Prost and Senna. Considering how soun...
