Re: F1 boring?

I get so bored watching Usain Bolt leading from start to finish. They really should spice it up for us tv viewers and insist that runners have to use about four types of compulsory shoes, each of which can only last about 25 metres. Depending of course on the runners' differing builds, weights and ...

To give someone insight into how these things are perceived in Spain, the top comment on a Spanish sports website in the article about Alonso's win is; Ver en cataluña el Gp de ESPAÑA coronado por un madridista no tiene precio. Forget I mentioned the bloody Surface adverts. Clearly I am wrong about how great that advert is, I wish I had never mentioned them because I didn't need to bring them up but I felt that using examples would just help demonstrate the point I was trying to make. I imagine "assault" is exaggeration. He may have pushed the camera away, which then fell out of the guy's hand and smashed on the ground. Doesn't even sound like Alonso being a dick, just trying to avoid the pap. Most "celebrities" do it. That said, buying the bloke a camera wouldn't do his PR or w...

Hmmm, depends. I think London it is more expensive, especially the black cabs. But I wouldn't know much, I once asked a driver in another country what do they base the charges on and he said it is a mix of distance, consumption and time. I thought it was bull, but then again who knows?

Its a pity they couldn't got a proper, serious actor for Hunt. I have never seen that Hemsworth guy bring any depth or three dimensionality to a character. He is just a 'pop' actor. Guilt trip is a feel-good movie, which I enjoyed a lot. Surely gives you a good feeling at the end

.I really thought Hamilton is the real deal after 2007. One bad year (2011), does not equate "seriously going downhill". His stock is high now because of years like 2009 and 2012 where he put in stellar performances, as well as 2007 and winning the Championship in 2008. Look at the bigger picture i...

No, not Gilles Villeneuve, but Jaques Villeneuve. The similarities in their career paths are interesting:- 1) Brilliant first year. 2) WDC in the second year, as well as taking over as team leader. 3) Move to a big team. 4) Both can talk themselves up real nice. Can let teams down. 5) Results after...

However, with his role rather limited, and no testing, which is where he excelled, the building process was taking quite lon...

If you mean by 'it all' you mean the kind of speed he had pre 2006 then no, he didn't. Nowhere near it sadly. The Schumacher of 2006 and back would have had Rosberg for breakfast. I think he would have beat Rosberg but you underestimate Rosberg somewhat methinks, clearly Schumacher mk11 was no long...

Funnily enough I was watching the Argentine race yesterday. Ogier was ahead but did a mistake, Loeb got the first place and never looked back. Schumi never lost it. He was just not the racing god some people believed he was, and Nico showed us that. Spain, 2001, Schumacher is ahead for 2/3 of the race, until he hits a problem with his last set of tyres.
