I miss F1. It's been 2.5 years (mid-2013) since it was actually fun to watch.

Re: Ferrari threaten to quit F1 in protest at new rules
there is sense in what you say, but I'm not entirely sure the rules and PU implementation were entirely down to FOM: IIRC the teams - predominantly the manufacturers - were fairly instrumental in devising the regulations and concepts we have now. So they, too, share the responsibility for the mess....

Re: Ferrari can beat Mercedes - James Allison
I'm guessing Allison meant that Seb has to score points for two people hence "he has to work for his money". Right?" Allison said. "But what we have seen through the season, and latterly particularly, is Kimi really making Sebastian work for his money."

I honestly think that the sound should be the least of people's worries when it comes to engines. I'd put higher on my list 1) Expensive engines that put half of the teams on their back. Sure, they are amazing piece of technology but it is really worth it to pay crazy millions for 900 bhp? 2) Incred...

Everyone except Kimi.
Even Button. He was miles away from Alonso. A good car and slightly better reliability/luck and I can see him beating Fernando (the same way he did in 2015)

I'm not sure if they have the money (and the expertise) but even if they did, 2017 is most certainly not possible. Even if they started work on the engine today.

Yep, it was something about the design of the nose. Gary Anderson predicted at the start of the year that their chosen style would limit the potential of the car in the long term. While they did manage to continue developing the car until the very end, McLaren reached the same conclusion and decide...

I honestly love Force India. They have great people working there, making the most of their limited budget. And on top of that they go for exciting drivers which isn't always the case in midfield teams.

Kvyat outscoring Danny Ric is a great achievement but looking beyond the results it's clear to see that Ricciardo outperformed him.
Ferrari for me. They were incredibly competitive (or at least one of their drivers was) after pitiful 2014.

Following the performance we witnessed from Ricciardo's upgraded engine in Brazil, RBR's commentary on Renault through the course of 2015 is completely justified. And also one of the reasons no engine manufacturers want to work with them. Yeah, right. It's not because Ferrari & Merc are scared of g...

McLaren had a pretty good chassis in 2015 which was working well despite the incredibly poor power delivery (wouldn't even comment on their top-end speed) and given how long S1 & S3 are in Abu Dhabi it's hardly surprising for me. However, it has to be said that their chassis has benefited massively ...

I really don't know. I have a feeling that most of the cars have been so spaced out that they barely raced others. Knowing his luck - if he decided to sit 2016 out, the McHonda would be more dominant than the Merc. If he decided to stay - repeat of 2015.
Marca reported a few days back that he'll make his decision after the winter test.
