To stay in topic, I have no idea who those Kimi fans are... seriously. And if i ever heard a rude driver on the radio, it has to be Kimi. Hamilton may not be popular among F1 "purists" and people culturally living in the past, but he is the one with most fans on social media. Bernie is no fool . In...

McLaren.. the laughing stock of F1. Ferrari, the biggest known F1 team was known among poor villagers and future adults thanks to Schumacher and his achievements, not because they saw some guy doing burnout on the main street. McLaren decision to make road cars was a very good one. At th...

Re: Kimi, Alonso and Jenson most popular drivers...

The last time we had a race where 3 teams genuinely were in contention for victory on pure pace was back in Hungary 2013. That is quite an extraordinary drought. We've had half a year of Red Bull domination followed by 1.5 years of Mercedes domination. The lack of competition in Formula 1 for the p...

That sounds as if Alonso's greatness is dependent on the inferiority of his peers. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for 'best driver' when all your competitors are crap. I'd think discussing his achievements rather than those things he didn't actually achieve would better support a top grid rank f...

I was right when i said Alonso was better off retiring after his accident during testing because his reputation is actually higher than his talent and actual achievements. His 2007 season is defined poor when he was actually pushed out of his control zone and was simply slower with worse racecraft. ...

I wonder how is McLaren viewed now? As a Midfield or as a Top team?

How was Mercedes considered before he joined them? Were there not pundits and all the forum calling him stupid because Mercedes was a terrible team?

What will happen when he will drive for Ferrari? Will they become a Top team again?

Re: Lewis Hamilton has won races in every season...

Of course Hamilton is nothing special and the stats in question are not impressive as he has always had front running cars(who knows why?) unlike Alonso -whose reputation certainly exceeds his talent- who always has slow cars(who knows why?). Ferrari was doomed to fail and languish in the 15th place...

"Failing miserably" would imply he never had a shot at the title, which he did multiple times Only in 2010 and 2012. That's two years out of five. In 2012 he shouldn't have had a chance, but Vettel and Red Bull made multiple blunders/DNFs in the first half of the season, and Alonso himself got a ge...

Ultimately, this is all that Alonso wanted - to be given a car capable of winning races. But he received such a car every year at Ferrari except for 2014. The mistake many people do is that they tend to isolate the driver performance from the team as a whole. Alonso was never going to Ferrari in 2000/01. I think Lewis was hiding something in Free practice on purpose. If you notice, in their two years together, whenever Lewis had a problem and didn't run in FPs, he ended Up faster.
