So it seems Red Bull is going to have to wait a little longer before Renault give them a PU closer to the Mercedes and Ferrari ones... http://www.f1i.com/news/304315-renault-engine-upgrade-delayed-reliability-concerns.html Wonder if this will impact the decision on taking a risk with Honda? Re: School shooting in Connecticut. Many dead and wounded.

The NRA has on outsized influence as most gun owners aren't members, and the lobbying they do is more on the behalf of gun makers than gun owners. Lots of people who own a single gun for home defense don't care about the NRA, and many other guns owners, myself included, disagree sharply with their ...

Re: Tire/Pit Stop Rules

I get that different tyres add strategic elements such as we used to see with refueling strategy. But I guess one day before I die I'd like to see no KERS, no DRS, no fancy front wings, etc etc and just a good actual driving competition. It's not that I don't enjoy F1, frankly I love it. Some silly comments on the the JA story and I'm sure some, sadly, will follow here. Those self-same people would be the ones sending "thoughts and prayers" to the drivers family had something horrific happened in the absence of a Halo device. From what I can tell from the pictures in the linked arti...

Re: Tire/Pit Stop Rules

The reason they don't allow the teams to choose what they want is, 1) the teams will try to push everything right to the limit and on occasion will probably do a "Indy 2005 Michelin" type mistake. i.e. bring tyres aren't fit because they chased a marginal gain. Which is horrible PR for Pirelli as i...

can anyone enlighten me on how they televise American Football? I mean, the length of any game there is an estimate at best, given the number of stoppages they have, but they seem to manage. It's not even 40% owning guns, it's 40% live in a household where there is a gun. At one point I had 4 guns, but we're not talking about high velocity weapons with high capacity, removable magazines. There's already a limit to how far back from the SC the lead driver can fall. I can't remember what it is but it seemed like something very arbitrary like 20 car lengths. Vettel got a penalty for it several years ago and I think the pitwall warned Hamilton about a few times as well. Haven't seen it...

I couldn't bring myself to cast a vote either way for the TR and Renault drivers. Hulk had a fuel pressure issue in Q and had his race destroyed by Grosjean and I don't like giving votes by default. At the beginning I thought RoGro was a decent choice to bring a first year team to the grid and I believe he actually did a good job that year. Give GRO a fast car and he causes T1 (T3 in this case) accidents. Give him a slow car and he can't drive around it. In either case, he's simply not consistent enough to have in the car. Ham, KMag, and Leclerc.

The gap Alonso was able to open up after getting past shows how well Leclerc was driving prior. While track position is always key keeping one of the best behind for that long in your 5th race is a dang good showing.

Max's issue was just a young driver making a snap decision at the wrong time sometimes. Many times he gets it right, but when he gets it wrong it's usually not very good.
